My glance follows them hungrily, curious to find out the origin of the sounds.
Right there, in the moonlight, Tammy's body is bent forward, moving slightly as she's eagerly searching in the pile of books on the floor. I make no sound while I watch her from the hallway, forgetting myself or the knife in my hand. Enchanted by this magical creature in front of me, I turn to stone afraid I might scare and drive her away again.
