"Baby... please don't do this to me! We can fix it! Just please! please don't do this" I beg to him while his packing his things. "I'm sorry Sandra... but I can't.  I can't spend my life to you anymore. Don't make this hard to us, just let me go." He said without any expression to his face. " A-are you leaving me because she's back? Are you  going to throw everything we've been through,  for the fast four years of our marriage? Just b-because.... just because your first love came back? You're throwing me out because of her? " Pagtatanong ko sa mahinahong boses at habang pinapatatag ang sarili ko na 'wag mag- breakdown sa sagot na maririrnig ko mula sakaniya. Tumigil siya sa pag-iimpake at tumingin sa akin ng deretso na halos ikatumba ko. "Yes. Everyone said she's already dead, everyone lied to me. Everyone fool me! I wouldn't marry you if i just known she's still alive. I'm sorry... Sandra I hope you understand." Saad niya. Hindi ko man lang siya nakitaan ng pagsisisi o kahit awa man lang para sa akin para sa nagawa niya. Tang*na! ginawa niya akong rebound. Natawa ako sa mga sinabi niya, puno ng galit at sakit akong tumitig sa kniya at mapait na ngumiti. "So all this time I am just your rebound? all this time pinaniwala mo akong mahal mo ako ! Pinaniwalaan ko lahat ng mga sinabi mo, pinakita at pinaramdam mo, pati mga pangako mong hindi naman pala para talaga sakin! "Wala kang puso Jiro, hindi ka makatao... Pinag-sisisihan kong nakilala kita at nagtiwala ako sa'yo... at lalong pinag-sisisihan kong ikaw pa ang minahal ko."     Saad ko na punong-puno ng galit ngunit sa mahinahong boses at walang emosyong mga matang nakatitig sa kaniya.

The day I found out I was pregnant with my second child, the impossible happened: the baby in my womb spoke. "Stupid sister, are you even listening? The color drained from Sean's face. Before I could utter a word of explanation, he dragged me straight to the hospital for a paternity test. The results came back quickly—my best friend had pulled some strings to expedite them. And there it was, in cold, clinical print: NO PATERNITY BIOLOGICALLY ESTABLISHED. He didn't let me speak. He filed for divorce immediately. In a panic, the baby's voice cried out from inside me again, "Why is the idiot backing out now? Did he finally figure out Mom tricked him? The one who saved his life all those years ago wasn't her—it was her best friend!" That one sentence shattered my entire world. My husband turned his back on me and married my best friend. As for me… the shock and grief hit me like a physical blow. I felt a hot, sudden gush of blood. Before the doctors could save me, I died on that cold hospital bed, my hands clutching my swollen belly, my mind still reeling, unable to comprehend how my life had unraveled so completely. It wasn't until I was reborn, and once again heard the treacherous little voice inside me, that I finally began to understand the truth.

"Whether you like it or not! You need to abort the baby! I don't need your fucking mercy Iris! You don't have to project yourself as a victim!" Nanlilisik ang mga mata ni Lucas habang nakatitig sa akin. Gusto niya akong burahin sa kaniyang mga mata. Isang basura ang tingin niya sa'kin. Isang maruming asawa. "Pagkatapos mong makuha ang lahat? Ito ang gagawin mo? Ipapalaglag mo ang bata? Wala kang puso. Wala kang awa. Hayop." Hinampas ko si Lucas sa dibdib ng aking mga kamay. Galit ang nararamdaman ko sa kaniya. Niloko niya ako. Ginawa niya akong tanga. Pinaglaruan niya ang nararamdaman ko. Umiiyak lamang ako habang pinapalo ko siya sa dibdib. Gusto siyang saktan. Gusto ko siyang paluin ng mga kamay ko para magising siya sa katotohanan. Wala akong magawa kundi ang hampasin si Lucas sa dibdib habang umiiyak ako. Ang sakit-sakit ng ginawa niya. Isang bagay ang tingin niya sa'kin, na pagkatapos niyang gamitin at pagsawaan ay itapon na lamang. Walang halaga ang pagkababae ko para sa kaniya. Marahas niyang pinigilan ang mga kamay ko. Nangingilid lamang ang mga luha ko. Parang pinipiga ang puso ko nang mga sandaling ito. I thought he is my happily ever after? But I was wrong! The man I adored was hurted me. He broke my heart after all. "Stop being fool Iris. Nothing can blame but you. Dahil ginusto mo ang nangyari sa atin. Ikaw ang may kagustuhan ng lahat," Nanlaki ang mga mata ni Lucas sa akin dahil sa galit. Pagkamuhi ang nararamdaman ng puso niya para sa akin. Agad akong sinakal ni Lucas sa leeg. Napahawak ako sa braso niya. Nakatingala lamang ako sa kaniya, hindi makahinga. Pumapatak ang mga luha ko. "You need to abort the baby. You will do it to protect my identity Iris."
