Lucifer’s expression darkened, his gaze narrowing with an intensity that could have turned stone to ash. “A girl?” His voice was low, dangerous. “Yes, master,” the demon confirmed, his voice barely a whisper. “A human girl, she is his assistant and also stays in his house."

"I suppose you're right. My brother is rather lazy." Demons usually powered themselves by torturing mortal souls and feeding on their sorrow, but Lucifer found it far more preferable to consume the magic of his many children—it was why he took them from the mortal realm. Jonathan generated their own power and with so many at his disposal these days, the greater demon rarely even killed his offspring in the process as he had in the past.

I had to move fast. I turned through the pages of the spell book with shaky hands until I finally settled on what I was searching for. “Thrakos, Demon of the Underworld, Lord of Hell,” I whispered, my fingers tracing the forbidden verse. “He who commands the forbidden flames of the devil's domain,” my voice grew louder, desperation etched in my eyes, "I call thee, Thrakos. I summon thee to the mortal realm. Kneel before–” The sound of thunder cracking cut me short before I could complete my words. The ground began to rumble and the circle I had engraved on the ground expanded outwards as dark smoke clouded the entire place.

"But do you have the power to back up your words?" I stood tall, despite the trepidation creeping up my spine. "I'll find a way to break the curse. For Alexander's sake." And he said my power could break his curse Arachne's laughter echoed through the forest, the wind swirling around us. "We'll see about that," she said. "But first, you need to understand the true nature of the curse." "Tell me," I demanded. Arachne's expression turned grave. "The Curse of Lucifer was forged in darkness and blood. He was banished, instead of him to seek redemption he committed more crimes, he poison human's mind he makes them commit a lot of sins.

All the demons nod their heads agreeing to every words he said. Lucifer's eyes, black as the void yet burning with an inner fire, slowly narrowed. He leaned forward in the throne, the fingers grazing the armrests carved in the likeness of Seraphic wings. The soft hum of runes beneath his fingers vibrated like a heartbeat through the room, a silent reminder that the power here was not a suggestion but law.

He grabbed my throat with one hand, not tight enough to choke me but enough to warn me. “You think these two can protect you?” he hissed. “One is a weak pretender. The other is just a demon wearing a dead boy’s body. But me? I loved you. I waited for you. I gave you everything!” Lucifer suddenly growled and tried to stand up despite the chains. “Touch her again… and I’ll burn this whole fucking place down,” he spat, blood dripping from his mouth. Yapper laughed and kicked him again, harder this time.

I walk over the threshold and turn to face him. “What of my uncle?” I ask curiously. “Lucien? What of him?” he seemed perplexed by my sudden interest in him. “What is his role in the demon hierarchy?” The idea of a demon hierarchy was an intriguing notion. No one knew much about the inner workings of the demon realm. Mostly because no one made it back out alive. And demons were notoriously loyal creatures. “He is Lucifer’s Assassin.” Lucas seemed almost guarded in his words, he did not really want to talk to me about this. I wasn’t sure why, but I was determined to find out.

“You're a brave one, aren't you, sweet? Very well, all you have to do is kiss me.” Lana's eyes narrow in suspicion. “Really? A kiss? That's all I have to do?” Lucifer chuckles. “Yes, darling. Demons take power through sexual acts. I figure a kiss would be the tamest way to take your soul. Unless you want more...” He asks with a sensual droll.

I am an angel, and I am a human. Pushing through The Dragon’s flailing claws, I move toward the current of power and look down at the endless abyss. As if Lucifer senses my intent, he looks back at me and calls out, “Don’t Lana!” I shake my head as my tears rain down my face. “I love you, Lucifer,” I call out as I turn my sword to me and plunge it deep into my chest. Lucifer’s mournful cry resounds throughout the cavern as my body plunges into The Creator’s abyss.
