If a nightwalker was inside the palace, the breach likely came with the flood of guests from last night’s event. Nightwalkers are highly deceptive. During the day, they could pass as human, making them nearly impossible to detect. I summoned Lucien, Sarah, and Theodore to my study. They presented a plan to draw the beast out, using either me or Lucien as bait. Nightwalkers drain the energy of powerful supernaturals, so Lucien and I were their primary targets. But I forbid Lucien from being the bait. I know Lucien is capable, but I wouldn’t risk his life. Nightwalkers are brutal.

Can you even imagine what will the condition of our ho yatel if they got angered?” The man said. “Why are you so scared of him?” She questioned. “He is Xavier Hunter, he can make us and our hotel vanish from the whole universe without even lifting his finger also. Top of that there is a reason behind my action right now,” the man said.

He removed her fingers and made sure he left his dark fire burning inside the open stomach as her blood was soaking her dress. If he hadn't put his fire in her stomach, her wolf healing would have closed the open stomach for her.

Slowly, they packed the unfilled grave. The old man held his hands to his back. Stared at the freshly dug soils. All these years, he lived behind the shadows of Nathalia. Lucia brushed him off but stepped back anyway to let Mercy greet the two she came with. “Xavier!” greeted Mercy sharing a hug with her previous pack’s gamma. “Partner, you left and now I don’t have a partner for the morning run.” he complained. “Oh, am sorry partner but it is what it is.” she said shrugging. “It’s okay I will get my mate to run with me.” Lucia gave him a look. “In your dreams!” exclaimed Lucia looking horrified thinking about having to run.

-Amara's POV- "I watched, horrified, as Lucifer extracted information from Mrs. Jenkins. The shadows, the illusions... it was terrifying.
