I growl in anger as I spring up from my chair. “She left already” Lucy tells me, “i know you won’t want to see her so I made sure she left before I came in” I close my eyes for a moment trying to calm my angry body down. Natalia has messed up big time and it is going to take the intervention of the moon goddess for me not to end her life if I set my eyes on her ever again. “But she wasn’t particularly wrong in publishing that article Nick” Lucy says again and a frown appears on my face when her words reach my ears.

“I don’t know, Lucy. Maybe he was just being polite. He and I just get along, that’s all.” She smirks, unconvinced. “Okay then. Stay in denial if you want.” She finishes her drink in one graceful sip, then slams the empty glass lightly on the table. “All I’m saying is, if he likes you and you like him, it’s not the worst idea in the world. The man is stupidly hot, Betty. Like, unfairly hot.” I laugh, shaking my head. “He’s also Nathaniel’s cousin.” Lucy rolls her eyes dramatically, her earrings catching the light. “So what? I swear, he will not only kill you, but he will destroy you. He will be here soon. And that will be your end.” Lucy said.

It was clear that their vision was blocked by the one-eyed wizard. "Isn't that in our favor because she can't use her troops in battle," I said and Lucan took a rough breath while looking at me seriously. "Yeah, but if you don't survive, nothing is in it for me," he said softly, taking my hand and kissing it repeatedly. In front of my mother and his cousin, he never stopped being romantic. The show of affection made Vic feel embarrassed and how many times she had to separate our hands.

I growled silently as I glared at Suzy, who was standing at the entrance of the library room. She looks so angry and pissed. She threw glares at me secretly but I didn't pay attention to it. I'm sure she's jealous because of the sight of me and Natalie. "What do you want?"I asked, trying to suppress the anger that surged through me. "Good day, Alpha. I'll like to talk to you,"she said, and I scoffed inwardly. "Come back later, I'm busy,"I said, sounding cold and fierce. I looked at my arm as I watched Natalie, who shook beneath me in fear. I'm sure she must have been terrified by my voice earlier.

Stacy answers confidently. My gaze shifts to Ace, whose eyes drop slightly before he smirks. I smirk back before looking back at Stacy. “ You are pathetic, I can't understand how you were ever friends with Lucy. Your awful behavior must have affected Lucy’s too. It's sad you will die today.” She lifts her hand and stares at her nails which change into red claws. “ Lucy’s behavior corrupted mine. I saw how she fought for a stronger mate such that she rejected the pack omega. And honestly I was impressed and encouraged.” She smiles all sweetly, earning a harsh glare from me.
