Alessandra's POV "I can't believe school is over." Lu mused like crazy on the other line. She had been ranting about stuff I'm not interested in, but I can't say anything to upset her. I love her to bits. Lucy was my best friend/sister. I prefer to call her Lu. I met her in grade school, and we greatly enjoyed each other's company. We instantly became best friends and so did our parents. Lucy likes to explore, too. The reason why we clicked together. We are both adventurous.

Chelsea never thought of anything less of Lucy despite her status. Even during the period when Lucy was hated by everyone around her, Chelsea had never left her side. She was a true friend to Lucy. Even though Lucy was respected and in the spotlight now, Chelsea had never once fawned over her nor asked for anything in return. Lucy knew that very well, which was why Chelsea was not just her best friend—she was Lucy’s family. Lucy would be more worried than anyone else if anything happened to Chelsea. She asked with a smile. “I’ve never seen her act that excited to see someone other than Evan or myself.” “Lucy is my girl. Aren’t you Princess?” She cooed at the dog. “Now I need to find out what your dad has gotten himself into this time.” Jessica stood up and wiped the fur off her yoga pants. I knew Badger and Machine had become friendly; however based on Lucy’s reaction, it was clear they had been hanging out more than I knew. I left Machine in the strong hands belonging to Badger as I went back to my penthouse to change.
