Lucy let go of his grip and wave her hands at him. Gale just sigh. He can't stop her by force and besides, they're not so close to being protective of her. Lucy walked in the hallway of Tagaytay tourist site when a gunshot echoed somewhere. She felt a stung on her shoulders and belly. She bent her head to check and her eyes widened when her dress was soaked in blood, her fresh blood. She felt dizzy and weak until she instantly collapsed on the ground. --- Eloisa POV

These are Setareh’s children. “We’re hardly a patient bunch but we certainly knew we’d catch up to you sooner or later Aurora,” the female says, dashing to the beach. Mase’s grip on me tightens, and I know in a matter of seconds she could kill me. My lifeless body will floating in the water to be shark food. *Like hell it will,* Lucy shouts, ready to shift and storm the beach.

She’s not the Lucy I used to know, not yet. She doesn’t talk much or do anything else, but she holds her baby when he’s awake and when he’s not, and that’s progress. That means something. As the sun dipped toward the horizon, the coastline finally appeared. Golden light stretched across the Pacific Ocean. High above the cliffs... Ruined stone walls rose against the sky. The remains of the old lighthouse. Point Aurora. Lucien slowly brought the SUV to a stop. No other vehicles. No people. Only the wind. Elara stepped out first. The salty ocean air filled her lungs. She looked up at the broken lighthouse. For reasons she couldn't explain... It felt familiar. Like returning to a place she'd dreamed about her entire life.

Outside, the heat hit them like a blast from a furnace. "We'll take my car," said Lucy. "Days like this call for little sexy sports cars." Abbey agreed. Lucy's car was a red convertible, just the sort of thing to be seen in on a hot day. At the beach. "Let's go to St. Kilda," Abbey suggested. "Great idea. We'll go for a swim then head to the Stoke House for a drink."

Vince would return, more suspicious than ever, and she would lose not only her freedom but the fragile hope that still flickered somewhere deep inside her. No. She had to move tonight. Lucy stood, reaching for the cloak she had hidden for weeks. The fabric was coarse and plain, the kind a servant might wear on errands. Perfect for disappearing. She draped it over her shoulders, its weight grounding her trembling hands. The balcony door creaked softly as she pushed it open. Cold night air rushed in, carrying the scent of cypress, rain, and the faint, briny breath of the distant sea. She closed her eyes, letting it wash over her face, steadying her.

“It was good. Don’t worry, you’ll do well tomorrow.” “Thank you,” she said softly, tracing invisible patterns on her lap. “I’ve always wanted to perform in front of many people.” Sean smiled, quiet warmth in his gaze. “I always knew you could. Good luck to us both.” Silence settled between them, gentle and unforced, the world fading into the soft hum of crickets and distant laughter. And a few feet away, someone else was watching. Lucy stood by the lamppost, her arms wrapped loosely around herself. She watched Sean and Lareina, the way they sat close, their conversation too soft to hear but tender enough to feel. Her chest tightened.

"Explain this, Erin." Erin approached Uncle Malcolm, curiosity etched on his face. "What brought you here, Uncle? Your journey must have been long and arduous." Uncle Malcolm's gaze drifted to Lyrien, his expression disdainful. "Bastard," he muttered, his voice laced with contempt. "What is he doing here?" Erin's eyes locked onto Aria, visible through the glass enclosure. "Is the girl inside the glass the Cursed Wolf that has all of Beacon City talking?" he asked, his voice tinged with fascination.

I couldn't even groan properly. “Someone help!” she shouted. “I need a first aid kit! Maids, where are you?!” Silence. Only the sound of the rain tapping the windows and my shallow breathing. Lucy cursed under her breath, then ran into the kitchen to fetch them herself. A moment later, she came running back from the kitchen, her hair a tangled mess and her hands full of supplies. She dropped beside me, opened the kit, and pulled out scissors and bandages. “You’re about to feel a hurricane of pain,” she muttered, then grabbed the handle of the knife.

As she left the cave, Lucy's breathing became labored, and her vision became so faint. Meanwhile, at that point where his mate was abandoned to die, Darren was in an important meeting with the village elders. The room is dimly lit, the flickering candlelight casting eerie shadows on the walls. The elders, dressed in their traditional robes, are deep in discussion about the future of their community. Darren, however, is having trouble focusing on the conversation at hand. He suddenly feels a sharp, inexplicable pain in his chest, and he instinctively knows that something is terribly wrong with Lucy, his Luna.
