Lucy Gray Baird And Coriolanus Snow Fanfiction Novels & Stories

She would see the Lycan again. Her head was in a state of euphoria as she lay in bed, imagining herself unravelling the mystery of her saving stranger. The smiles, and her much sought opportunity to say thank you to him. Until she asked herself the damning question. Then what? She was fresh from a heartbreak, and the pain of being left alone on her wedding day. What would happen if she and the Lycan fell in love? Would she not be exposing herself to the pain twice? Why did she even want to see him?

I bellowed. Power surged through me, my Lycan form rippling just beneath the surface. I launched myself at the rogue band with savage force. Claws extended, fangs bared, I tore through their lines like a force of nature. Bones cracked under my fists. Blood sprayed hot across the snow as I crushed the leader’s throat with one merciless twist. My warriors joined the fray, but I was a whirlwind of destruction, driven by the image of Bella standing alone in that market, covered in garbage and saying nothing.

And finally, Nathaniel's iron-clad demand that Grace and I move back to the estate, culminating in the elevator just twenty minutes ago. The entire time I am speaking, Lucy’s face runs through a thousand different micro-expressions. She sits. She stands. She paces. She slaps her own forehead. She looks at me like I am certifiably insane. And when I finally run out of breath, she drops onto the carpet across from me, her eyes narrowed, her lips completely white. "Are you absolutely sure you didn't just describe a mafia movie trailer?" she asks deadpan. A startled, broken chuckle escapes my throat. Lucy laughs too, immediately covering her mouth with her hands.

“How do you coordinate attacks then?” I asked. “The Lycan King has been sending groups to destroy our crops lately. There must be more than one person involved with those.” “There probably is,” Lucius said. “But—” Before he could finish the sentence, I had leapt up, wrapping my legs around his neck and twisting sharply, sending us both into the snow, a cloud of flakes flying up in a flurry. I landed on top of Lucius, my hand raised, claws pointed down towards his throat.

She let out a breath and said, "Honestly I think I might get sick." I laughed a little. She smiled weakly. She leaned against the wall. Said, "This is all so crazy. Rejected by an alpha one day because I chose my mother , getting mated to a Lycan Prince the next day…” I said, "You could still say no. If you don’t want it.” She just shook her head. "I know this is sudden " she said. “ I am not sure I want it… but I do know this is something good for us."

Barry. Slowly, she reached up, her small fingers touching his hand. She pulled it gently away from her lips, her eyes lifting to meet his. His striking blue eyes gleamed with amusement, not anger. “What were you doing up here?” Barry asked, his tone low, calm, but edged with curiosity. Lucy swallowed hard. “I was… just taking a walk.” Barry raised a brow. “A walk? You mean spying on people who are about to have sex?” Her face flamed red instantly. She shook her head quickly. “No! I didn’t... I just... I stumbled on it. I didn’t mean to...”

"I’m just curious to see what’ll happen. I’ve never seen Alistair bring home a 'Luna' from a bargain bin before. I want to see how long it takes for the novelty to wear off and for you to become just another ghost in the hallway." He turned on his heel and stormed off, his heavy boots thumping against the marble. Once he was out of sight, Susan grabbed my arm. Her grip was tight, her knuckles white. "Kiera... do you remember those files? The ones you asked me to send you before everything went to hell? All those pictures of the girls who went missing after 'getting into a relationship' with the Lycan king?" "I remember," I whispered. "We’re in the lion’s den," Susan said, her voice trembling

“I won’t take up too much more of your time, I just… I wanted you to know. You have every reason to hate me, Grizelda. But I hope, in time, you won’t.” As she turned to leave, a voice cut through. We turned and we saw Lucy. Standing there in the living room with us like she had just walked in. But I knew better. Her arms were crossed and the look in her eyes spoke of anger as she glared, especially at me. She had been listening. “Touching.” She said with a contemptuous smile. “Did we just have a Korean drama moment, or did I just walk in on family reunion with Grizelda in it? Since when?”

She purred in her usual snarky tone. “No, it’s not that. I just..you weren’t there when all of that was happening. I couldn’t feel you..I thought his rejection might have…” Lucy replied as she squinted her eyes toward the raucous sound of laughter that drifted across the water toward her. “Listen here, both you and I know that a rejection is not going to be the end of me. If he’s happy enough to replace his moon blessed in an instant with a poor imitation then I’m ashamed to have accepted him in the first place.” She snorted. “Just you wait till I see that fake mate again, I’ll rip him a new…”

"I gave you an option, but it seems you’ve thought of another way besides marrying me. Still, this is no different from my original offer—for you to become my Mrs. Grayson." Lucia leaned forward slightly, her voice steady as she explained. "I thought my plan was perfect. If I divorce him and he finds out I’m marrying you, he’ll twist everything around. He’ll make me out to be the villain. When I fell down the stairs… I took the chance to pretend that the man I’d married, the one I remembered as my husband, was you." A faint smile touched Noah’s lips at her words. "You’re clever," he said, then slid a stack of papers across the polished mahogany desk.
