"And when exactly were you going to tell me this?" He shrugged. "Now seemed like a good time." I shook my head, laughing. "Nathaniel, Lily’s birthday is coming up on November 29th. We were supposed to be planning everything!" He leaned against my desk, crossing his arms. "I thought about that. But we can still plan from there. You do realize I’m a billionaire, right?”

I said, remembering the cakes and parties we threw her. “That was to make things seem more normal for you. That’s not actually her birthday. Her birthday is in November, not July.” He patted me on the back, it felt slightly patronizing. “I feel like I don’t even really know her. Is she even Astrid?” Lucas burst into laughter at that question.
