I guess I am used to Ace insulting me but not Fred. Ace's furious look faltered when my tears started falling. "What's wrong? Are you hurt?" I shook my head as my reply and before I knew it, I ran towards him and buried my face at his chest. A second later, I felt him brushing my hair gently in a comforting gesture. She clutched her chest which was now hurting and wept bitterly. Meanwhile, after Ace finished cooking, he dished the food from the pot before carrying it out from the kitchen in a tray. When he got to the living room, he saw Ava on the floor crying. He wondered what had happened to her and dropped the tray of food on the table. "Why are you crying, my love?" He asked as he bent down and helped her up from the ground. When Ava looked up and saw that it was Ace, she threw herself at him and hugged him tightly. Ace was confused by her behavior. "What happened and why are you crying?"

He holds me close, stroking my hair. “Pup, please tell me. Why are you crying?" I try to explain, but my words are muffled against his skin. Ace just holds me tighter, letting me cry it out. He sighs then gently asks, "Was it Alpha Xzen? Did he do something to hurt you?" I nod, feeling a lump form in my throat. Ace's expression darkens, but he says nothing, just holds me closer, offering me a safe haven.

“Don’t shut me out like this.” Ace finally turned to face her, his expression unreadable. “I’m not shutting you out, Lisa,” he said quietly. “I just… I don’t know how to deal with this. I feel like I’m losing you.” “You’re not losing me,” Lisa insisted, her voice trembling. “I’m right here. “I look like hell?” “Yeah.” Liam stared at him some more, then suddenly, he burst into laughter. It was hysterical laughter, laughter close to the cliff-edge of tears, but Ace quirked his own lips up in a half-smile, just happy to be there and in one piece. Well. Kind of in one piece. In one piece, but with pieces missing. “OK,” Ace said as Liam calmed. “Tell me.”

He screamed and threw the bottle of singani away, hitting his hand on the wall. "Why him? Why him? Why not me!!!!" Ace screamed as his hands never left the wall. Freya quickly enters his room, she has heard him scream on her way to her room. "Ace are you all right?, why're you doing this to yourself?" She asked. But Ace only looked at her with eyes filled with tears. "Why're you crying Ace, you're bleeding" Freya said, taking his hand. "Does it hurt?" Freya asked. But instead of answering her question, Ace crashed his lips on hers.

With that he rushed out slamming the door shut like he was running away from doing something unchangeable afterwards. Ace went to the balcony and with trembling hands he pulled cigarette pack out shuffling one in his mouth, one after another tear fell on his pale cheeks, the damned tears he vowed to never shed again made their way out after his resolute and control fell out. He let out a heavy puff of smoke with his trembling lips watching the gloomy clouds still covering the world. "You're cruel, so damn cruel!" Ace suddenly burst into a loud laughing letting more tears out before he was slumped to his knees crying bitterly.

I heard Clyde say his goodbye and I just waved at him while looking for my keys in my purse. I opened my gate and Ace went inside too. I went inside my house and he’s just staring at me like he was not furious minutes ago. He looked like a lost puppy now. “I’m sorry I acted that way, I was just worried.“ He said, trying to hug me. I’m trying to push him away while I’m drinking water. My nauseous feeling never got better.
