The room went pin drop silent. The man who was holding the mysterious book, came in front and held the book in front of everyone to see. "This is the holy book which witnessed every Alpha marking his Luna. It has the blessing of the ancients and keeping them as the holy witness, I would request alpha Dominic to mark Athena, the red wolf, as the North region's Luna Lady." The man announced and after he read a few sentences in a low tone, the book started to glow and a bright light came from the opened window.

> “Dear Luna Alaina, I will still address you as my Luna because, to me, that will never change. Even if Freya succeeds in her plans to become Luna of the Moonridge Pack, my loyalty remains with you. I know I have betrayed your trust. I know you feel hurt by what I have done. But Freya threatened me, Alaina. I was terrified they would take everything from me, and I regret it every single day. They mistreated me, forced me to steal food, and used my guilt to control me. But I finally escaped. I need to see you, to tell you everything. About the Moonridge Pack, about what they plan to do to you now that they see your power growing. They are going to try to use you again, Alaina. You need to kn

I couldn’t blame him. And then it happened. Kane stepped forward and laid the ancient book on the table. The legendary Luna, written in moonstone ink and consist of the four powers. Only a true Luna could open the book and view the readings. Sophia touched the book and opened it. She wasn't thrown back with force from the book, she read every details in it. No burn. No rejection. No resistance. Just silence. The room shifted. They all sat upright, as if waking from a trance. Regret painted their faces, ugly, slow, and too late. I saw it in the way their eyes flicked toward her empty seat, the very one they once said she didn’t deserve.

“Eliana dear, how have you been?” “Hello, Grace. I’m very well thank you” Eliana smiled at her. Grace’s eyes shifted to me and she asked. “A human?” “Yeah, this is Jade. Our future Luna” Eliana gestured towards me. “You don’t say. Keanu found his mate. A human Luna” Grace looked at me in disbelief. She didn’t use the Alpha title and I wondered who she was. Eliana noticed my confusion. “Grace was Luna Serena’s florist. She took care of Alpha Keanu after the Luna’s death”

It hurts to think about how much I had suffered, but I had overpassed it and think about the now. I inhale sharply, then let it out. "But I suddenly realize being Luna is something I don't deserve." I look over my shoulder. Dominic was with everyone, nervous and anxious, as they watched the fight on the sideline and listened to my conversation with Leah about my feelings. "Dom...Alpha Dominic deserves a woman who is worthy and strong by his side. Someone equal to him. You and I aren't compatible with that position."

"If Kali won’t submit, the pack needs a Luna who will." "But I’ve already found my mate!" Travis protests, his voice rising. It takes everything in me not to roll my eyes and say, I rejected you, Travis. I would never be yours. Luna Diana barely spares him a glance before shifting her attention back to Grace. "Have you found yours?" Grace nods, her eyes gleaming. "I rejected him," she says without hesitation. "The Moon Goddess made a mistake." I gape at her, stunned. This girl is insane. Absolutely insane.

I watched as the breeze blew her silver hair and her silver orbs which looked as if were glowing when the sun rays hit them shone in anticipation of how she was going to beat Grace again, her once hourglass figure was now replaced with a pear body shape with her hips sticking out evidently in the black leggings she was wearing, I’m sure if it’s not by her scent, her rejected mate wouldn’t be able to believe that this was the lady he rejected and told that she would never become his Luna. I wonder how her life is going to look like when she finally reconciles with the Lycan king, I know she is going to give him a lot of trouble and all but I know it’s going to be worth it because there is no

He knew he had their blessing. "So please, let's get started." Elder Mortimer continued, turned, and, with a flare, grabbed a thick white leather book with the words 'Luna's Ascension' inscribed in gold. He laid it down on the lectern, opened the book, flipped through some pages, and began to read. "A Luna is a mother to her community, caring for and nurturing them to the best of her ability…A Luna must be kind at heart…A Luna must be warm and welcoming…A Luna is the backbone of her Alpha…A Luna must respect her Alpha..."

I had defended myself quickly, trying to keep my composure. Yes, she had left this pack, and I hadn't known why. When she had found out that Ethan had met his mate, she had departed of her own will, but now it seemed like she had been plotting her comeback the entire time. Was she truly capable of separating us from our possessions? I had realized, looking into his sad eyes, that he had never trusted me. He had been assessing and counting now. I had handed him everything suspiciously, as though I had used him as a ruse to get the title of Luna. I had fallen in love with him before I had even realized he was an Alpha. Has his mistrust of me always been there? Could that girl ruin everything b

The insult lands like a physical blow. Liam stands. Voice dropping to dangerous levels. "Careful, Alpha Kiera. You're provoking the wrong Luna." "Am I? Or am I exposing a weakness?" She doesn't look at him. Keeps her eyes locked on mine. "The Dormant Luna. Bonded with lunar stone. Destroyer of facilities. Leader of hybrids. But can she actually fight? Or is she just golden energy and pretty eyes?" I feel the room shift. Every Alpha watching. Waiting. Judging.
