I enjoyed the change of scenery. I acquired a book of simple spells that I had wanted to get for the Mage Library. The last copy got destroyed in a fight between a couple Mages. I also picked up a book on the Lucevkin dynasty that Queen Delia had been a part of as well as a book on the night sky. I had wanted to go star gazing but hadn’t had the chance due to my previous duties. Conor picked out several books of his own, but I hadn’t seen what they were about.

"I'm telling you, something's different about him," Luna said, leaning over the counter to whisper to her best friend, Lily. Lily rolled her eyes. "You say that about every new werewolf who comes to town," she replied, flipping her long blonde hair over her shoulder. "I know, I know," Luna said, fidgeting with her pen. "But there's just something about him." Lily raised an eyebrow. "Him who?" Luna nodded towards the door of the coffee shop, where a tall, dark-haired stranger had just walked in. He was dressed in a leather jacket and jeans, and his piercing blue eyes scanned the room as he made his way to the counter.

I looked away. "Don't you see the admiration in her eyes? I think we just made her fall in love by standing here as the new powerful Alpha," Lupus thought. I scoffed silently. "What?" my wolf asked in a suspicious manner. What she said in the forest echoed inside my head again. I closed my eyes, trying to control my anger. "Nikita is not worshipping us. She's just worshipping her future self." My grip on the microphone tightened. "Huh? What do you mean?" Lupus asked confusedly.

Lycidas hissed. Like what I've just said, Lycidas is still that pretty little boy who staggered and tottered toward me, holding a dead rat and a human's head in his hands, begging me to give him a twirl. Finding Lupinus Oreganus is a real challenge. It typically grows in prairies and forest outskirts, but I've yet to find it nearby. The only one I found was in the Siuslaw. I'm holding a travel map, comparing it to Azura's journal sketch, marking where she found the plant. Lupines are usually animal feed, but Azura used this poisonous herb for scrying, and its name, Lupinus, Lupine, intrigued me. I'm not sure what I'll do with it if I find it. Maybe use it for scrying, but I'm skeptical, especially since my boyfriend is a werewolf. If not for that, I might have given up on this quest.

What if he gets so angry at me for what I did and decides to kill me?’ Lupa wore her clothes hurriedly and dashed towards the elevator. “I have to get out of here. He can’t see me when he wakes up.”
