She didn’t answer. Instead, she grabbed my wrist, pulling me closer. “That tea… you shouldn't have drank it,” she whispered.
“What do you mean?” My pulse quickened as I tried to pull away, but her grip tightened.
She crouched by the spilled tea, dipping a finger into it and bringing it to her nose. “It’s laced with lupine,” she whispered.
“What happens when I take lupine?* I asked, my heart hammering loudly in my chest.
