Lara had an errand to run after work at the post office, so I follow her, or well, the car came with me, so I go with her. I don’t leave the car though. My body jerks with energy when I see him. He walks up to her, his confident swagger unmistakable. My body thrums with so much energy just seeing him, almost like I had a coffee run just by seeing his face. Which is impossible. Harper and Joseph both were tired when they reached their home. They both slouched as soon as they entered their apartment. Then both of their mobile notification went off at the same time. They were confused and looked at each other. They both took out their mobile and checked it. Joseph got the notification ''Tiger_77 has started following you'' while Harper got one ''Josh♡ has started following you'' on I*******m. Both of them took a long sigh at the same time. Harper and Joseph were surprised at the sync so, they ended up laughing.

He laughed mockingly, "Just admit it, Wayne…” "Admit what?!" Wayne snorted. "You and Ms. Devon have LQ, right? Lover’s Quarell! That’s why you're becoming a workaholic now." Wayne was stunned by what his friend said. "W-what?! What are you talking about?! LQ? The fuck! For someone who doesn't have a love life like you, you know so much!”

I rubbed at my eyes with the back of my hand until the sting eased. Everything was still blurry through the steam, but I could make out the outline of someone standing just outside the spray. My stomach dropped. “Dave…?”

“Okay, that’s enough, Madam… please, stop drinking,” the butler, Arthur, warned softly. He reached out to steady the glass as it wobbled in Larissa's grip. Larissa didn't even look up at him, she stared at the liquid instead, watching the ice cubes swirl. "He isn't coming back tonight, is he?" Arthur hesitated, his silence more cutting than any confirmation. "It’s been six months, Arthur," she whispered, her voice filled with exhaustion. "Six months since the wedding, and..."
