Lycanthrope Vs Werewolf Novels & Stories

he sat on the bed and gestured for me to sit down too. "Lycanthrope, also known as werewolf, is a person who can shape-shift into a wolf either purposely or after being placed under a curse or affliction, often a bite or the occasional scratch from another werewolf. They transform into their beastly nature on the night of a full moon. Most of them get their soulmates from the age of 17 - 20. Depending on when the moon goddess had decided to pair you with a mate…." "Soul mate? Moon Goddess?" I interrupted.

I was excited and couldn't help but feel happy to deliver the news to him. I have read the book, and it all revolves around what lycanthropes are. Lycanthropes are different species of werewolves who are stronger and faster than werewolves. It was said that a low-ranking lycanthrope who is trained can take on an Alpha. The highest rank of lycanthropes can take on six to seven werewolf alphas if trained by a lycanthrope mage. A lycanthrope mage is one who has the ability to control the four elements: fire, ice, earth, and air. A lycanthrope mage can take on as many alphas as he can, but the mage lycanthrope has a weakness that can be their demise.

Zoe questioned. "Typically only werewolves. Wolves are the only ones that usually stick to packs as well." Darina replied. "What's the difference between a lycan and a wolf?" Ryder had told her a little bit, but she wondered if it would have an impact on either of them once they were fully mated. "Lycans are basically large werewolves. We can walk on two legs when we shift rather than four, and we're stronger than typical werewolves." Ryder and Nick came over to sit next to their mates.

The formidable creature stood in the dark shadows, towering at an imposing height. Its eyes, burning with a golden fire, traveled across the aghast soldiers, and landed on Aurora’s face. A creeping chill was sent down Aurora’s spine as their eyes met. She swallowed, nervously. …Now she finally saw how the Lycans were different from them. Unlike the wolves that ran on their fours, the Lycan stood on its hind legs. And it was 2-3 times larger than a regular werewolf.

Lycans were far stronger and deadlier than any werewolf. Before I could process what was happening, the lycan moved faster than I could follow. In a blur of motion, he lunged, grabbing the panther shifter and disappearing into the shadows. Instantly, a strangled scream echoed down the street, then... silence. I didn’t wait to find out if I was next. Muttering a quick healing spell, I forced myself to my feet, my leg barely holding. Pain shot through me with every step, but I did not stop nor did I look back. I didn’t have to. The panther shifter's scream still echoed in my ears. I could not tell who the lycan's real target was—whether it was the panther shifter or me.

As I sprinted, my foot caught on something, sending me tumbling to the ground. Frozen with fear, I watched as the wolf lunged at me. I braced myself for the imminent pain, but instead, a deafening growl echoed through the forest. Opening my eyes, I found the attacking wolf hesitating, backing away. Behind me stood another creature: a towering wolf on two legs, unmistakably a Lycan. I gasped, realizing the forest legends of werewolves and Lycans weren't just myths; they were terrifyingly real.

I nod, “You can tell werewolves apart from Lycans by the eyes easily, My Lady. Lycans have much lighter eyes, and they’re bright in darkness. Werewolves have darker eyes.” I can almost see the thoughts swirling in her mind “Wait, so that means— “You’re fine.” I assure her “You have a mark. Werewolves are born without it. That’s also an significant distinction.” “But my eyes are almost black!” Dinah says, a frantic energy to her frame “And they most certainly don’t gleam in the dark!”

*Lilac* So unlike the stories that we were told about Lycans. I have come to realize that Lycans and werewolves are totally different from what we thought them to be and I live in a city of Lycans. Werewolves are ancient and have gone into extinction. These Lykae people though are just as humane as we are except they have beyond natural genes that are akin to that of wolves.. Which means they don't have wolves spirit living in their head, neither do they transform to wolves. They only phase out their magic from time to time.

As I sensed some movements in the dimly lit alley, a subtle rustling that sent a chill down my spine. Instinctively, I tightened my grip on her hand, preparing myself for the unknown. Four figures materialized from the darkness, their menacing presence unmistakable, they were Lycans. Among them, one stood out, adorned in a reddish-white royal robe that billowed around its powerful frame. Its eyes burned with an intense crimson glow, captivating and unnerving simultaneously. This was no ordinary encounter; I was being ambushed by the infamous Red Fang Pack.

The man withdrew his hand in surprise, before I could scream his hand slapped my face so hard that my head hit the car window. "You son of a bitch." he grumbled, then he grabbed my hair roughly so that I was closer to him again. My vision was still blurry but his hand slapped me again until the corners of my lips were bleeding. "If you don't shut up, I'll beat you up again. Do you understand?" he asked in a low, threatening voice. Both sides of my face hurt. I replied with a challenging look, "Just try." Suddenly he grinned happily, "Ohhh ... Lycan is really different from werewolves, huh? They are braver.``
