Lyrics I Like Me Better Lauv Novels & Stories

“Shoulda known better,” I mumble as I watch the ice cubes slowly melt in my Jack and Coke. “Shoulda fuckin’ known better.” “You know, talking to yourself is a bad sign. Do I need to bring you by the hospital?” I look up at Lexy, the rocker-chick bartender at Chrissy’s, who’s giving me a look like she either feels bad for me or thinks I’m pathetic – maybe a mixture of both.

I am sure my face was ten different shades of red but I didn't care about that as all my attention was focused on the man in front of me. I looked at him as he tried to take a look at my phone as he asked me, "So tell me what are you listening to?" He asked, referring to the songs I was playing while completing my notes. "Where is the other one?" He asked me, looking for the earbud but I was too frozen to answer him anything at the moment. He connected the bud in his ears and he grooved to the song 'I like me better by Lauv' which was playing on my phone. "Wow, nice song, beautiful choice. I really like it," he commented as he listened to it some more.

"Cause I know I can treat you better Than he can. And any girl like you deserves a… Gentleman So tell me why are we wasting time in all your wasted crying when you should be with me instead. I know I can treat you better!!! Better than he can! Oh oh oh oh!!" I screamed along to the lyrics at the top of my voice, dancing around under the shower and being careful not to slip and fall. Hopefully no one hears me singing. "Give me your sign Take my hands We'd be fine Promise I would never let you down Just know that you don't have to doooo this alone Promise I won't let you dooowwwnnnnn Cause I know I can treat you better!!!"

You are the real heroes. Kansamida [thanks ;) ] Soundtrack: Sweatpants by lauv. Try listening to it, I recommend it. The melody is fireee.

After thanking him and giving him a hug I leave. 3 Hours before my concert Lug asked me to come to Harry’s early because he had a last-minute song he wanted me to check out. I’m standing in the middle of the dance floor and ask “ Lug what is with the last-minute add on?” Lug stands in front of me “ Lilly, I just need you to listen to the song.” There is something in his voice. I’m not sure what it is but it tells me this song is important. First I hear the keyboard being played like a piano. Then Lug starts singing. It takes until the second verse for me to identify it. He is singing Luke Combs ‘ Better Together’. It is a sweet love ballad and I enjoy it very much. I hear people shuffling ar

She half expected him to shrug her off or stand up. But he didn’t. She listened to the pounding of his heart as it thumped in his chest. Did she make him as nervous as he made her? “Everything is so much better now,” she said. His head moved against her hair. “What’s better?” “I don’t know. Life was like, ugh before. Now I have something to look forward to.” “What do you look forward to?” You. No way could she say that. “Change.” “What was so bad about your life?”

" No answer. The days that followed blended. Eliot didn't communicate with anyone. Did not attend a party. Seldom attended class. However, the unidentified number turned into an odd lifeline for him. When he was upset, he started texting it. While he was disoriented. If only he had someone to talk to. "I despise them." "I no longer even recognise myself." "The only person who hasn't lied to me is you." And the person on the other end always answered. "You'll rediscover yourself."
