He laughs out loud, together with our father. Max and I try to get up, but another one of his nasty fireballs hits us in the side. We cry out in pain this time. This is excruciating. It’s worse than our first shift. Athena yells at him to stop, but he just laughs at her like the maniac he is. Athena, however, starts to take bold steps towards them. I can see the hesitation in their eyes, but their smug grins don’t drop. Athena looks beyond livid as she continues to step forward though.

The enormous dark fireball was falling on Erik. "It's getting near!" Liam warned Erik. "A little bit more," Erik said while breathing in and out. When he felt that the fireball was already above him, he opened his eyes and directed the authority he had copied from Clara. The dark fireball clashed with the invisible wall. Gritting his teeth, Erik tried his best to counter the fireball using his invisible wall. At the same time, Alpha Roy attempted to push the fireball down to Erik and crush him. Erik growled loudly and managed to bounce off the fireball behind him. When the vast dark fireball touched the ground, there was a big explosion causing some of the forest to be gone.

The fireman sat at the edge out of view still working at the floor below them. Tom signaled. The team jumped as one, guns at the ready. They fell three levels. When they hit the ground they rolled to the side. Bullets covered the area while dark bodies danced out of the way. The fireman focused on Tom. The heat seared the power armor. Tom felt like he was being boiled alive inside a pressure cooker as he fell to his knees. Before him, an Alpha clamped down around his teammate's throat. Tom stumbled to his feet. His suit glowed bright red from the heat as the fire encased him. Tom bent his head down and ran full force, grabbing the Alpha around the chest giving him a nice hot burning hug. The

He was too busy staring, stunned, at the silhouettes pushing through the flames. Since when was June's fire ability this powerful? How the hell did he not know?
