Elysia's pov We were so excited but then, we excitement quickly fades as I realizes that they will need to open the safe. I takes a deep breath and looks at Macy with a worried expression. "I don't know how to open it. Maybe my fingerprint will work?" I suggests, beginning to stamp my fingers all over the safe. Macy shakes her head, "I don't think so, it's probably not set up to recognize anyone's fingerprints but the owner's." My heart sinks as I realizes Macy's words are true. I give up, tears forming in my eyes as I contemplates the idea of forcing a memory I might not even remember.

He'd remove everyone's DNA, their information and everything there is about them off the systems of the world. When you joined the agency, he did the same. In short, we don't exist little one." Malakai said and Eden's eyes widened. She never knew the extent to which Malakai could go.

I missed Jace and Brandon, but I knew I just needed to hold on for some little time, and everything was going to be over. My chest tightened and my gut churned as I took a step back. "So how do we not make all magic disappear while keeping her here, it's impossible. Once Alexander doesn't come and get her she will ask questions. She will." I spun around not wanting to hear anymore. Alexander loved someone else. My chest tightened as I turned the corner. "Ariella." Maverick yelling my name had me quickly opening up the first door I seen and going inside. I gently closed the door as quietly as I could. "Shit." Maverick cursed a few times as he ran down the hall.

Tonight, I was going to our house. Later that evening, I waited in the shadows near the door, hidden just enough to go unnoticed but close enough to hear Mago’s footsteps approach. As he fumbled with his keys, I held my breath, anticipation coursing through me. The lock clicked, and in one fluid motion, Mago pushed the door open, stepping inside without glancing back. In that brief moment, before the door closed fully behind him, I slipped in silently, following his scent—a mix of expensive cologne and something unfamiliar, almost bitter—that filled the air.

It was funny how at first look she appeared to be only a couple of years older than Freya and Sarah, but I could tell she was older than that…probably approaching her late forties or near her fifties. How I knew that fact about her was a mystery even to me, but I could just tell. “That’s Cameron’s mother, Malaya MacGyver.” Darcia informed me from the other side of the table, keeping a safe distance from me because I think he had noticed how I had flinched away from him earlier. “She’s Alpha Charles’s mate and current Luna.” “Oh…” I turned back to the crowd that had gathered around the baby. “She seems pretty popular.”

He leaned down over Leela, his large hands gently cupping her face, and pressed a deep, lingering kiss to her lips. "We have to go," Fennigan murmured softly against her mouth, his thumb brushing a stray lock of hair from her forehead. He looked into her bright silver eyes, offering her the absolute truth. "We have to try and find Magda. She's the loose thread. If we catch her, she can tell us exactly who was funding my father's sick research." Across the pushed-together beds, Jax was doing the same. The Beta leaned down, pressing a tender kiss to Ginny’s exhausted, smiling mouth, and then gently touched his lips to newborn Iggy’s impossibly soft cheek.
