The man nodded and rushed to execute the order. A separate chamber farther away from the frontline was nestled deep within the outskirts of the city, beneath a seemingly abandoned estate. Inside, Madame sat on a throne-like seat, draped in shadows. Her silver rings gleamed as she traced the rim of her wine glass with a delicate finger. Around her, men and women in dark suits stood at attention, heads bowed. She received the message with an eerie calmness.
