The Devouring Queen

The Devouring Queen

The beast recoiled from its light. She smiled. Good. Let it learn limits. But even as she thought it, doubt flickered. Because something else had begun. A pulling. Not the beast. Something older. Deeper. From the east. The vampire empire. Her mother’s voice—Queen Isolde Valcour—whispered across impossible distance, carried on blood magic. Daughter. What have you done? Elara did not answer. Not yet. Instead, she walked back into the palace, through halls of ruin and kneeling subjects, until she reached the queen’s solar.

The Cursed Lycan's Plus-size Obsession

The Cursed Lycan's Plus-size Obsession

She was one of the notorious mages and recently she topped the Academy and claimed the Archimage throne. “C’mon. I am not going to eat her. Also we need her for the ritual. I have to—” I looked at her and it was enough for her to shut up. “Don’t make me repeat myself. Anyone who dares to approach her with ill intention… you will have to go through me first.” The air turned heavy and cold as nobody dared go against my words. Lazarus glanced over us but his attention went back to his device. Mother Queen, on the other hand, cleared her throat and looked at me.

The Demon King's Destiny

The Demon King's Destiny

Rain opened the huge mahogany doors with all her strength and in stepped my grandmother, Cecelia Von Speltsper. Lady Cecelia, or grapy, as I liked to call my grandmother, was the woman who found me. She said she had been out riding when a ray of light fell from the sky and there I was. I don’t know if that story was true or if it was made up to cover my origin as a hybrid, but she was the one who discovered I had the mark of a phoenix on my back and that I was to be the next Demon King. Lady Cecelia was King at the time and none of her five sons and two daughters had the mark.

Taming The Devil's Queen

Taming The Devil's Queen

It shattered against his shoulder, throwing him off balance long enough for me to close the distance. In one fluid motion, I disarmed him, the gun skittering across the floor. I grabbed his arm and twisted it behind his back, slamming him face-first into the wall. Blood dripped from his nose, and his eyes burned with rage. "W-who the heck are you?" he sputtered, struggling to rise. Releasing him, I let him stumble to the floor, gasping for air. I chuckled, brushing my hair out of my face. "Just a random pretty lady," I said nonchalantly. "Although, my fans call me the Queen of Doom. Can you believe that? What a ridiculous nickname. Personally, I’d have gone with..."

Fated to Alpha Jace

I said, which made her eyes widened. “I can't believe that you love a demon, Jace. She's a threat to the entire werewolves.” Jace just shook his head from what Liezel had uttered. It seems like he's not interested in whatever she's been saying. “Margaux is not a demon, Liezel, for your information. She's better than what you think and whatever plays inside of your little brain is not true. Margaux is a daughter of Damon, but it doesn't mean that she's already a demon.”

A Queen Among Darkness

Aqen begs me. I nod, “I’ll make her feed, but first I need to find out why she won’t. I’ve never seen a sanguidae fight the hunger of their craze before, and while she’s fighting it now, this is a blood curse made from magic far more powerful than mine. The hunger will win out,” I say gravely. He nods, knowing from experience it’s only a matter of time. “NO!” Henet screams, “I WON’T DO IT!

Denae O'Connor
This is by far my favorite book in this entire series. Not every author can write a same-sex relationship and make it so layered and nuanced instead of "corny". A.D. Burnell is a Queen Among Authors, and I can't wait until they get thr recognition they so thoroughly deserve.

One of the things i love about this series is that you think you know everything, and then you start the next book and so many layers are peeled back that blow your mind. it makes this the most addictive series ever

Dragon Queen.

Dragon Queen.

“Lock her up!” Mare stopped fighting as the men dragged her like a sack of grain into her room, bolted it, locked it, and even stood guard at the door. Two men had been stationed in her room. She approached the bed with Hegi behind her feeling elated despite her imprisonment in her chambers. She ordered a dragon. Her voice and words brought a mighty beast of the old world under her command! But where had those words come from? She wondered. “What you did…” Hegi was breathless.

The Vampire King Reclaiming His Lost Princess

Her son wasn't supposed to go through what she had endured. "My Queen you have got a messenger." A demon appeared at the front door. "Not now!" Amber snarled as she finished bandaging Isak. "I'm not a messenger, silly Demon. My presence here represents the powers the world had forgotten about." An old woman wearing a silver robe that matched the colour of her hair walked through the front door.
