Episode 11 Scout pov A sharp satisfaction curled through me as I replayed Bella’s expression from earlier in my office. That moment when frustration and anger had overtaken, her composure had been delicious to watch. She finally understood. She knew now, without question, that she was trapped. There was no way out, no trick she could use to slip free. She was tied to me, and I could see the weight of that sinking in, undeniable, and unshakable.

Wolves gathered around it, eager to decorate. As they cut the twine, the branches sprang open with a rustling roar. The tree was enormous. Glorious. Regal. As tall as Marek in wolf form. My fingers tingled with the urge to make it better. I clasped my hands behind my back and tried to be normal. It did not last long. Because at that exact moment, the enchanted tinsel on the chandelier pulsed. A wave of frost rolled down its length, a ripple of magic I had not intended. It flowed across the ceiling like a glowing silver tide.

Then there was this gold light that swirled around, I think that came from Gentry and then it was like the magic on the plants got angry and everything turned red and…” Then it hits me the memory of being restrained and held down, the cuffs around my wrists. I couldn’t move or get away. I can’t breathe and my vision starts to fade again.

What the actual hell? We were in some kind of twisted dreamscape. Flowers bloomed in every color imaginable, blue roses with silver veins, blood-red lilies that opened and closed like they were breathing, and tall, golden sunlotuses that seemed to hum softly in the windless air. It was hauntingly beautiful, like someone had taken a fairytale, dunked it in poison, and sprinkled glitter over the corpse. “It’s… pretty?” Tera offered from beside me, her voice unsure, like she wasn’t sure if she was allowed to say it aloud.

A garden. Not just any garden… a sanctuary. A hidden oasis bathed in the glow of twinkling fairy lights, the air thick with the scent of blooming flowers and the quiet rustle of leaves. Fireflies darted between the branches, their tiny lights flickering like stars fallen to earth, and the path ahead was lined with lanterns, their golden glow casting long, dancing shadows on the ground. I pulled over without thinking, my heart pounding with the kind of excitement I hadn’t felt in years.

I do, and there on the left side of my neck, nestled in the nape, are two tribal wolves, with a fae in the middle and the woven crescent blended with the celtic knot surrounding them. I gasp in awe and surprise, locking eyes with Blake in the mirror as he sees the exact same thing on his left neck nape as me.

She grinned widely. I reached out my hand and picked up a flower vase from the table. I used it to strike Martha on the head, causing her to drop her bat. She landed face down on the floor. “You bitch” She yelled angrily. I picked myself up and attempted to make my way up the stairs. My pace was very slow because I was dizzy and was losing a lot of blood. In no time, she was able to catch up to me. She grabbed me by my hair and hurled me across the room.
