Magus’ magic dissipated before he turned to look at Dundeville, which was engulfed by raging flames in front of him. He ranted, “I got bored. This game is no longer fun for me, so I decided to wipe them all out.” After that, he noticed Max, who stood next to Tyr, which surprised him greatly. “Who’s this guy?” Max stepped forward and greeted Magus at once. “My name is Max Cheever. Do we have the same name as your friend?" "Oh, yea, you have the same name." "I see, actually Gami is my nickname. Gabriel Mien is my full name. How about your friend?” "Um…actually, Gami is the only name I know he uses."

“Almost any weapon they can conjure at will. When I asked them to describe what their magic felt like, it was identical to what you told me you experienced the night of the Hunt.” My fingers curled around the handle of my mug. I forced myself to stay composed, even though I could hear my heartbeat in my ears. “Would this mysterious person happen to be a male?” I asked slowly. Caius nodded. I barked out a cynical laugh. “And you think I’m what, his daughter or something? Who is this person anyway? Please don’t tell me they’re related to you, or I might actually lose my mind.” “Maverick.” Caius held my gaze. He wasn’t joking.

Bruce asks me. I shake my head. "I could use a ride if you don't mind. I am not sure I am ready to drive today," I say. I know I am not ready to drive. "I can take you, but first, I have to tell you something. I made some calls while you were sorting through some things. I wanted to give you some space. I found both of your uncles. They own a little magic shop in New Orleans. It is called Elemental Magic," Bruce says.

I groan internally. My name is Mariah Cruz. I'm 17 years old and starting my junior year today. My Father, Mark Cruz, is the current Beta of our pack, The Royal Moon Pack, and my mother, Jennifer Diaz, is the Beta female. My Brother Josh Cruz is 18 years old and a senior in High School. He is training to become the next Beta when our Alpha, Jason Adams, decides to retire and hand the title to his eldest son, Nick Adams. Nick is 18 and is also a senior in high school. He is also my brother's best friend.

I could feel her anxiety as she met my hard gaze with her wide eyes. Nobody knows my wolf's name except for me. They call him Invictus, Death Claws but that's not his real name. Only I know what is he called. Usually, alphas don't reveal their wolves' names as revealing them can make us susceptible to evil magics. The seasoned witches only need a name to cast a spell on. It's not a law but a necessary precaution.

Once we are both inside, I press the button to shut the door. Musu takes a deep breath and looks around my private library. She spends a lot of time here, but she clearly doesn't understand why I pulled her in right now. “What is Mavri Magea?” I ask her, trying to remember I have no problem with her. “Uh, Greek. It can be dark magic or black magic,” she nods confidently. “You’re sure?” I ask hesitantly. “Yes, Alpha. One hundred percent,” she confirms. I sigh and rub my hands over my face, “Give me a moment, Musu. I need to have an argument with my wolf.”
