Hidden Mistakes

Hidden Mistakes

I defended, knowing it wasn’t entirely true. “I’ve made a background research on you Miss Mia Cruise and I know for a fact that this office is like your secret lair, you still mourn the puppy you lost to a tragic accident three years ago even more than your late father and you are a huge fan of De Brans bar and go there every weekend to get drunk,” he said and caught his breath right on time. I gave him a puzzled look which slowly turned into a wicked smirk. “I’m sure this is an invalid case in the court of law,” I said, resting my head on my jaw.

One Night Mistake

One Night Mistake

he said as he walked away. From where she was, Elise could see how tired her friend was after serving her customer. She hadn't even had time to clean herself up. Sandra immediately got up and went to the toilet, then returned after she was completely clean. "Didn't I tell you to stop doing this job?" Elise protested to Sandra. The woman sighed heavily. "You know that I can't do that, right? I've already done it, it's my fate to be a mistress." "You can stop if you want--"

she said, and Great Madame came over to her and kissed her. "Come on, count backwards from three!" shouted Mr. Kusuma. Three, Two, One Jeeeeng.... One tug Amelia opened the satin, and what the underneath was, HORSE! A shiny dark brown horse standing proudly in an iron-barred box. Imported horse, which must have more than seven digits. Amelia screamed with joy! "Alberto!" ***

The Dragon's Silent Shadow

The Dragon's Silent Shadow

"We cut the travel time in half. We’ll hit the Mist Barrier by sundown. The Isles are just beyond." "The Mist Barrier," Saoirse repeated. "Is it magical?" "It’s old magic," Vane said, his good eye narrowing. "Leftover from the First War. It scrambles compasses and eats wind. Usually, you need a Siren navigator to get through. But since I have a Dragon..." He looked at Saoirse. "...I assume you can part the fog like you parted the waves?" "I can try," Saoirse said. "Good." Vane reached into a pouch and pulled out a handful of dried dates. He offered one to Tristan.

HIS MISTRESS, MY REVENGE

HIS MISTRESS, MY REVENGE

She looked at the picture of her daughter for a moment before she put it away, and when she looked up at me again there was something final in her face, the look of a woman laying down the last card she had driven two hundred miles to play. "Because Mia has a birthmark," she said. "On the inside of her left wrist. A small one, shaped like a crescent. I have seen it every day of her life and I never thought anything of it until eleven days ago, when a stranger who knew things about you no stranger should know told me to look at your christening photographs." She reached across the coffee table and, very gently, turned my left hand over. There, on the inside of my own wrist, where it had been

MOONLIGHT MYSTIQUE

MOONLIGHT MYSTIQUE

He slipped the phone out, shielding the screen. Three new messages. He’ll suffocate you, moonlight. I’ll show you freedom. You want to say no, but your body already betrayed you. Meet me. One chance. Midnight. The old library wing. Eliot’s stomach dropped. Midnight. The words burned into him like fire. He should delete them. He should erase Damien from his life before Theo noticed. But his thumb lingered over the screen, trembling, betraying the truth he refused to say aloud. He wanted to go.

Wild Dreams [Story Collection]

Wild Dreams [Story Collection]

“You’ve always had vivid dreams, especially when you’re frightened. Rest now. The Alpha’s men will be here soon to escort you with the others.” Why is mother talking as though she doesn’t remember how I left home? Before I could argue further, a sharp knock sounded on the door. Three of the Alpha’s warriors stepped inside without waiting, their expressions stern. “It’s time, Mia,” the lead guard said. “Prepare yourself. You will join the six other maidens at the sacred grove at sunset.” I had no choice. Mother helped me wash quickly with the cool water, her hands gentle but efficient. She slipped the traditional maiden dress over my head—pure white linen, sleeveless, clinging softly to my br

Love Mist

Love Mist

She just wanted to run and forget everything about the man she had been living with for three years. As she continued to run, a faint voice calling her was heard from afar. It was Michael's voice! Diana, who heard that, immediately quickened her steps without looking back. 'Now we're over. Goodbye, my love,' Diana thought frantically as her vision blurred. Suddenly, there was a bright light in front of her. But before she knew what it was, everything was already too late. BRAK!!! "NO!!!"

The Prince Who Was Raised in Hell

The Prince Who Was Raised in Hell

In this vast expanse of white, a fiery red sword light emitted a long howl that pierced through the nine heavens, colliding with the zombie's black shadow in midair. The next moment, Maya Kaye landed on the shore from mid-air. She bent one knee to reduce the impact of the falling. Then she held a thumb-sized red Corpse Core in her hand and looked up at Lady Maisie with a smile. "It's settled smoothly." At this time, within the mist, it was as if ten thousand streaks of red multicolored light scattered. The water curtain and mist were torn apart and fell into the lake, making crackling sounds, like the sound of summer rainstorm.

What happened to the original writer of this book? The new writer is a far cry from the first one in terms of style, creativity, dialogue and story telling. He has turned a once very arresting story into a very boring one. It is sad.
