“Seven who care about you dearly. Maybe we need to change the paper from being about you to about us.”
“What do you mean?”
“Well, maybe you should interview all seven of us, so everyone knows why we love you so much.”
“Love?” She asked, and then I stopped to stroke her face.
“Yes, love,” I smiled as her brown eyes lit up, and I heard the words that came out of her mouth, and everything about us seemed right.
“I love you too, Pete Bannister. You’re right, I do love all of you, for different reasons.”
“Oops, it looks like your bag just dropped to the floor,” I smiled as it dropped, and I planned for her to be skipping class.
