He had been docile for weeks, compliant, almost ghostlike in his movements through the pack's routines. No one expected what happened next.
He walked to the center of the courtyard and stopped. The guards paused, exchanging uncertain glances. Then, slowly, deliberately, Kael Silvercrest lowered himself to his knees.
