But Anne was already halfway up the ladder, her short shirt riding up as she reached up to place the books on the shelf. Chris's eyes darted up to meet hers, and he felt a jolt of electricity as he realized he had no choice but to comply. With a sense of trepidation, Chris reached out and grasped Anne's waist, his hands making contact with her soft skin as her shirt slipped up further.
