(Five years later) Lyra’s POV I leaned against the dark tinted window of my limousine as it drove past the City. My reflection stared back at me, my face covered with a Phoenix shaped mask that only allowed my eyes and mouth to be seen, it was my Trademark. The world now knew me as The Phoenix, the name wasn't just branding. It was my story. I had risen from destruction, rebuilt by hands that should never have held me together, and now the very fire that consumed me was now my fuel and weapon.

His. He kept on kissing me as he eased slowly into me. I gasped at the intervention. It was such an alien sensation. And it felt good. I clenched my eyes shut, willing myself not to remember Zach. "Look at me." Mariano ordered. "I want you to look into my eyes as you come. Look at the man who's going to own this sweet pussy for the rest of your life." My eyes fluttered open. No Zach. Just Mariano. His green orbs were heated, blazing, even a little darker than usual.

His eyes went from me to Santos, "who's this and why did you just walk him in here?" Santos put his hand on my shoulder, "Marco, this is Maddon Falcone, he's a old friend I met when I was still in my pack," he shrugs, "we kept in touch even after I went rogue." His eyes came back to me, "what do you want here Maddon?" I stuck my hand out, "to join with you, make your pack stronger." Marco chuckled, ignoring my hand altogether, "there's no such thing as a rogue pack," he archs his brow at me, "why have you left your pack or we're you banished for some reason?"

Lirvana clutched her head, dropping to her knees as the voice echoed again. It was piercing, like it was crawling through her skull. “Who are you?” she cried out. > “Help me... and I’ll tell you who I am.” Her breaths grew shaky. “Help you how?” > “Find the Moonmark.” “What?” she whispered, confused. “What is a Moonmark?” > “A mark…an etched moon symbol. Find its bearer.”

She rushed to him, hands searching his body for wounds. “Not mine,” he muttered, pushing past her, straight to the bar. He poured whiskey like it was water and downed it in one swallow. Her stomach sank. “Then whose?” He looked at her, eyes bloodshot, jaw locked. “Marco.” Her heart stuttered. She knew the name. She’d seen Marco at Eden countless nights, quick with a grin, loyal to Jaxon to the bone. “He’s still breathing,” Jaxon said, almost like he was convincing himself. “But Zane…” His voice cracked, then hardened like steel. “Zane doesn’t just take lives. He takes loyalty. Piece by piece.”

Teo asked as he directed his gaze towards Phoenix. “Because she is more than a curse, she is my friend.” Teo eyed Phoenix with suspicion. “There are rumors that you possess powers, is this true? The people say that you’re named Phoenix because you have the power to produce flames from your hands.” “The rumors are true,” Phoenix said as she came closer to them. “And if you ever insult me again,” flames licked the flesh of her right arm as she walked closer to him. “I’ll make sure not even your ashes remain.”

He revealed. " What nonsense are you talking about? " Phoenix glared at him. " This isn't nonsense, this is the truth. Mr. Wong isn't a famous businessman like your aunt painted him. He is a fucking human trafficker " Phoenix's eyes widened in horror. " What?! " She exclaimed and sprang up. " Sit " Axion commanded, and she shot him a glare. " Sit down " Axion snapped. Huffing angrily, Phoenix complied. " Why should I believe what you just said, huh? " She demanded.

Piero’s voice called from somewhere in the warehouse, the heir’s gaze shifting before finding a crowd of men huddled around a corner. “Piero! Where are you?” He laughed and made his way forward, pushing the men to the side. “Piero, we won! We won! It’s over!” Marco didn’t have to shove the men out of the way anymore, the closer he got to the center, the men automatically parted for him. Marco’s breath stopped in his throat, his stomach twisting with nausea as he caught sight of the tuft of black hair he was all too familiar with. His heart sinking to his feet to see the pool of blood surrounding him. A pale and skeletal figure lying beside him, their fingers hardly grazing.

Michael continued, his voice tinged with a mix of admiration and sympathy, "Despite his best efforts, Swiftclaw has consistently thwarted Marco's attempts. Swiftclaw's evaded him, frustrating Marco's every move. There was a certain time that Swiftclaw almost kille Marco but Marco escaped, and Marco has been on Swiftclaw’s tail eversince" "Despite Marco's best efforts, Swiftclaw has managed to consistently evade him," he said, his words a testament to the challenges Marco had encountered. Swiftclaw's cunning and elusiveness had been a formidable opponent, a reality that had undoubtedly frustrated Marco's every attempt. When I make it upstairs to my place, I go into my office to call Marco. He picks up after a few rings. “My man,” he says through the line. “Yo, Marco, any update on a replacement? I really need someone, or two actually,” I say. I’ve been on Marcos's case about finding a couple more reliable people to work for me, ya know since Ghost has, I don’t know..become a ghost and Adria is…probably a fucking ghost now too..nah probably a demon or some shit. “I’m trying man, but you’re so picky,” he says clearly blowing smoke out of his mouth on the other end.
