Wife v. Husband

Wife v. Husband

A week ago, the news broke that I'd filed a lawsuit against my wife of more than 20 years, Hazel Cooper, the woman who had shared my bed and my life for over half my adulthood. From that moment on, I became the neighborhood's favorite villain. Everyone called me the heartless man who had climbed his way to success and abandoned his wife and child without remorse. In their eyes, Hazel was flawless. She'd married me when I was poor and struggling. She never complained, even when life was hard. She cared for my sickly mother until her final days. She raised our son almost entirely on her own and turned him into a top student, the kind every family boasted about.

Please Marry me

Please Marry me

Two of my warriors—Blaze and Rowan—step out of the trees behind me. They freeze. They look at me. Then at her. Then back at me. Blaze mouths silently, Did our Alpha just propose to a human? Rowan whispers, “Is he sick? Cursed? Should we call the healer?” I want the ground to swallow me. My mate stares at me like I’m completely insane. Then she says the words that shatter my pride in the dumbest way possible: “No. I don’t marry kidnappers or shirtless men!” She turns to run.

Under his protection

Under his protection

It needed to be this way, I needed her to hate me because when all this is over, it will be easier for both of us to let go. Stepping away from the dance floor, I searched for Adriano. He stood at the corner of the room. Watching. I followed his gaze. Lola. Definitely not. I walked over. “You know she’s married, right?” “I’m aware,” he replied casually, like he was expecting me. “She just had a baby,” I added, “and her husband—” “He doesn’t deserve her.” His voice was low and certain. I looked in her direction again. She sat in a corner holding the baby while her husband was laughing loudly with a group of others, clearly intoxicated.

My Wife is His Wife

My Wife is His Wife

"That's right." He followed me into the house and saw our wedding photo. His eyes were filled with resentment, and his voice grew firmer. "You don't love Sinead as much as I do. Sinead told me you even made her go without food for several nights. I came here to tell you that even if I can't legally marry her, I'm still going to be with her." He looked like a brave young man defending the love of his life. I froze slightly. "So, you knew all along?"

The spoon Mason's mom was holding fell to the ground. "You're--you're married?" Alvira asked me. I nodded. Ivan gasped again. "That was..that was shocking." Svetlana said and exclaimed. "So is that hot piece of cake your husband? The one you were dating that time? What was his name again? Mariano... Lorenzo? Or is it Kidd Meyers, which one? Actually, I'd give you Kidd Meyers. Mariano is way too hot to belong to one woman alone. I bet you can't even handle him when you two are alone."

My Marriage Is A Contract

My Marriage Is A Contract

"That's not a problem, you can leave your husband and get a divorce from him. I don't care if you are married; you belong to me and me alone." "Are you crazy?!" Charlotte busted out in anger. She used all of her energy to push Christian's hands off her. "You really expect me to leave my husband for you?" "Listen Charlotte, I know five years have passed but I still feel the same way about you. Plus, I know that the marriage between Sebastian and you is just a contract marriage. You guys never even met prior to a month before your marriage." Charlotte's heart stopped beating for a moment when she heard Christian say that her marriage was based on a contract.

So much to say, so little space. The author is apologetic for errors. Honestly, I noticed some, but not enough to ruin the story. This was definitely an emotional roller coaster, and much more tame than most of the content on this app in the smut dept. Great read, highly recommended!
