It’s not a dream, a dream from which one can. The paramedics hurried past Charles, Fiona, and Madam Jamaica with not even a flicker of acknowledgment, all of them fixated on what mattered now—Marie. They worked hastily to stabilize her, but even in the midst of all the frantic activity, it was obvious to everyone watching that there was nothing they could do. Marie was dead.

Closing my eyes, I once again see Marie’s mask of sweetness disappear and her true self appear. "And why would the queen of the harpies have an issue with my brother and his mate?" Frank demanded. "Xavier and Marie used to be great friends!" "Jealousy." I responded quietly. "Marie was a scorned woman in love. She was in love with my father, but my father loved my mother. Due to that, she was consumed with jealousy until she finally snapped and burned them to death. " Snapping my gaze from Frank, I turned to my grandfather to find a pained expression plastered on his face. Reaching out, I grabbed his hand and gave it a squeeze, drawing him out of his misery.

I speak in a deadpan tone, but just as I turn to walk out, Marie's voice stops me. "You do know that if you release those videos or try anything funny, your daughter is going to die, right?" She snaps, her voice quivering. "Unless you're trying to gamble with Arabella's life. After all, the little girl has suffered enough already." My next action stuns everyone. I whirl around and, without warning, I strike Marie hard across her face. Her scream mingles with the sound of the slap as she stumbles back, holding her cheek. "Rose…"

Marie explained in a sad tone. I could instantly understand her. She was trying so hard to cover the pain, but the moment she lifted her dress, I noticed the way his fingers dug into her arms, leaving red marks, and some injuries. “Don't worry, that won't happen again. I'll drink the tea no matter how cold it gets, and the alpha won't hurt you again,” I assured, staring at Marie until she sighed. “I really am here to help you with anything you–” I cut her statement short. “Tell me the truth, Marie. How many ladies have died on the Alpha's bed?” I asked with fear in my thumping heart.

Marie yawns and I lift her into my arms. She falls asleep and we chuckle as Sebastian walks in and smiles. "We got two of the bitches",they need tortured and killed. My mate could of been killed if Miller didn't react as fast as he did. I sighed as Marie snuggles closer to me but stays asleep in my arms.

Sofia's eyes were on the scissors as the woman approached her. "What are you going to do with the scissors?" She questioned. Marie smiled at her. "I am just going to use it to cut that dress into shreds and pull them away from you." "I said no." Sofia barked. "Don't you dare come close to me." The woman ignored her and approached. Marie was about to touch her; she raised her leg and swung it skillfully in the air. Her leg caught the second woman in the head while Marie ducked the leg. The second woman lost balance as she fell; her head hit a table, and she fell to the ground unconscious.

It happened so fast that if she hadn’t been looking at her, she would have missed it. It was going to ruin Maria to kill this girl, but she had no other option. She kept repeating the words in her head. Mariam lifted her hand to deliver the final blow that would end the girl’s life, then all hell broke loose.

This wasn't some nightmare I could claw my way out of. I was marrying the devil. And I'd signed the dotted line. What about the freedom I thought I would get after my husband's death? Not like Vienna, who was tarnished and even lost her life." Ernawati took a deep breath. She was always saddened when she remembered Vienna's tragic death caused by Teguh. Up until now, they still couldn't find any evidence against him. Although detectives and the police have been searching for proof to bring Teguh down, he was elusive and hard to reach, making it very difficult to prove his guilt.

Aurora said. "He manages absolutely everything," Cara corrected gently. "Mara was a brilliant chef. She was incredibly demanding. Her standards were absolute and completely unforgiving in this exact house." Aurora stopped wiping the wooden counter. The sudden mention of Julian's first wife hung heavily in the quiet air. "She was brilliant, specifically," Cara continued quietly. "But the cost to Julian afterward was massive. He lost his foundation completely when she died in the fire. He lost his entire world." Cara looked down at her warm ceramic mug. The steam rose in the cold kitchen.
