Mario speaks out with heavy shuddering breathing as he attempted to swing another punch toward Michael, but he ducks his head out of Mario's fist "I will not fight you, Mario," Michael says while looking down to allow the blood to drip on the ground. The driver walks over to Michael "Hey man, are you ok?" He raised a question. "Yes, I'm good," Michael answered back as he glanced at commander Mario who was behaving like a junkie on drugs. "Yes bitch, and I can't wait to tell comare Chris everything about you, evil snake," Mario shouts with flailing arms. "Hey man I don't know you but you need to calm down before the neighbors call the police on us. And the comare is not going to be pleased.."

I don't kill, I immobilize. I was in the full battle mode now, and wolves were falling at my feet. I was ripping into the side of a gold-coloured wolf, I was distracted. Too distracted to see a rouge lunge at my right. The wolf knocked me to the floor and I growled as blood pooled from my side. The battle was drawing to a close, the rouges were retreating. The wolf tearing at my body was doing it out of spite. I struggled, made a last attempt to lunge and my teeth sunk into his throat. He thrust away from me and retreated, blood dripping from his coat. Lucas growled softly beside me, but I raised a hand, stopping him. Mario’s chest heaved “I was rejected for Beta… and now rejected by my mate.” His gaze dropped to my sister, filled with something dark, possessive and twisted. My instincts screamed, something was wrong, very wrong. Mario’s claws elongated slowly, sliding out like blades from his fingertips. I stiffened. Lucas… be ready, I repeated, sharper this time. He’d taken a bad mauling during the battle and Rocco, and I rushed over to tend to him. The dead bodies of Wicknace, Jimmy and Julien slowly twisted and curled back into their human forms leaving three bloodied and naked corpses on the town square. It didn’t seem real. How had I gone from working in an office to escaping from a cage, shifting into wolf form, and ripping another wolfs shoulder almost entirely from its body? Marie and Pen came running over, this time with towels and sheets, they must have quickly dashed back to my mother’s house as I saw my old bedsheets with pink roses on and other flowery patterns.

I look around to see a rogue girl standing near Mario and stares at me also. Mate! We both said.

I’ll support them financially.” “I’ll contact each of them and coax them into fighting for justice with you.” Ah, Mario! This is why he's the best assistant. Mario was speechless with his eyes wide with fear. “Did I?” Hugo yelled again. Mario shook his head. “You dare put your hands on him!” Hugo shouted again and shoved his knee into Mario’s stomach. This time he was down for good. He lay there squirming on the ground as his men looked at him from a distance. The cartel boss went down on his knees and threw a barrage of hooks and every single one of the punches landed on Mario’s face. Mario was incapacitated. Hugo walked away from the downed thug and towards Mario’s men. The men fought the urge to make a run for it.

I shoved him onto his back and slammed my fist into his face, feeling bone give and break under the impact. Now that felt good. I hit him again and again. Blood, his not mine, flew into the air as I kept hitting him. I paused and held my fist high, blood dripping from it. Mario was still conscious, but only barely. His face was a battered, bloody mess that was already starting to swell in some places. The beta was done for, but the urge to keep going and end him was so strong. My wolf howled, urging me on, but I didn’t move.
