Velvet Dominion

Velvet Dominion

And Axel was standing there, watching me, his gaze intense. "Axel… is everything okay?" I asked, my voice barely steady. He held those stunning eyes on me. "I'm getting married. It's official." I froze. "Congratulations." He leaned back in the chair, studying me calmly. "It's a marriage of convenience." "What do you mean?" I asked, curiosity and a sense of injustice rising in me. "That we both gain something from it." I ran a hand over my face, trying to process the news. "So… you don't love her? You're not marrying for love?"

BEYOND THE CONTRACT

BEYOND THE CONTRACT

"You don’t have to do anything. Just be present. I’ll handle the rest." Sophia scoffed, running a hand through her hair. "You make it sound so easy. You’re really something, you know that?" Julian crossed his arms, his expression unreadable. "We had an agreement. This is part of it. You agreed to be my wife for a year, Sophia. This is just making it official." Sophia stared at him, feeling an odd mixture of frustration and disbelief. He spoke about marriage like it was just another business deal—like it didn’t carry any weight. But to her, it was still a wedding. A wedding that, no matter how fake, would change her life.

I asked, voice dry. The assistant didn’t even blink. “Your marriage contract, Ma’am.” I stared at him. Dominic offered the folder without a word. I didn’t move. My throat felt like sandpaper. “You drew up a legal contract in—what—less than twenty-four hours?” His voice was silk dipped in steel. “Efficiency is one of my few virtues.” I swallowed hard, fingers curling into the thin hospital blanket. “I said I’d marry you. I didn’t say I’d sign my life away.”

Marriage of Deceit

Marriage of Deceit

“Seems I am to marry after all. I wonder how Nicky will react when I tell her about my marriage to a stranger(Sighs deeply)” I stood at the altar close to the smiling priest, he seemed more happy than the bride. Who is the bride? I guess it's me. Am I really getting married? Should I call the police saying they are forcing me to get married? Fiona will kill me if I make a fuse today. It was 11.am already but there was no guest. So called wedding day without a single guest? The Church's big door opened and a man entered and he held the door wider for the second man. The second man was the rude man that I met in the restroom.

The Mafia Devil’s Contractual Wife

“Kind of killed the party vibe. And besides…” I let the silence draw out, savoring her frustration. “It wasn’t a real wedding anyway. Business deal.” I slipped back into my chair, gripping the armrest until my knuckles went white. “Marriage of convenience. Nothing more. I needed it to secure the seat.” She blinked faster now, scrambling to catch up. “So you married some random girl for the title?” she snapped. “Exactly.” Her face twisted, something ugly and furious clawing at the surface, but she forced it back into a pretty, poisonous smile.

he said quietly. The market moved around them. A pigeon landed near their table, considered the situation, and left. Cara looked down at her coffee cup. "I need you to understand something," she said. "I'm not a woman who does things halfway. If this stops being an arrangement — if it becomes something real — I need it to actually be real. Not convenient. Not useful. Not a version of something that works until it doesn't." "I know," he said. "You can't go back to the corporate statement version of yourself if something gets difficult."

The Marriage Auction

The Marriage Auction

Wendy handled her like a pro, keeping my world spinning without a hitch. However, at the wedding, Ella lost it, crashed the party, and started flinging insults like confetti. "Jim, it all makes sense now. You're so eager to divorce me because you've been fooling around with this homewrecker. How long have you two been sneaking around behind my back?" Wendy slipped her arm through mine, beaming with a smile. "Not everyone gets their kicks from cheating like you do. We've got our principles, you know."

CAGED: IN HIS LOVE

CAGED: IN HIS LOVE

His eyebrows raised questiongly. Aaron looked at his gobsmacked face and nodded his eyes while still half bending his body on the rope. "It's true." He shrugs casually again back to look at the front wall. "She signed it." He asked frantically. Aaron watched Daniel with the corner of his eyes as he knows he couldn't digest the news he just announced maybe nobody can as this is the stupid thing he did. It's the fucking reality and he had mix up the real life with any fictional novel. Truly, he did get this idea reading some contract marriage novel which Kathy likes to read but it's truly obscure to even think that way in real life. As there are only two marriages that exist in this world. Fir

pretty good start. enough descriptive imagery. the blurb was okay. seems like there's enough conflict to keep the story interesting. the blurb needs some proofreading, as well as the first chapters (typos, tense consistency issues, punctuation, etc.). overall, nice work

The synopsis hints that this story has more in it than it seems. The chapters need some editing, but nothing that damages the story as it is right now. The ML is easily hated, but I bet there is more about him than the first chapters shows.
