From under his bed, he took out a dark brown box in the medium size. He opened that brown box. There were two wooden toys inside. The toys really looked like the characters of two ancient Greek gods. Marvelo took those two wooden toys and quickly rushed out again, to the front gate where Marius had been waiting curiously for him. “I wanna give you one of this, Marius,” said Marvelo still sniffling slightly.

My stomach lurched violently. "Let's keep moving," I gritted out, turning away from the horrific sight and toward another archway on the far side of the courtyard. The maze punished us for our choice. We encountered a staircase that looped back on itself no matter which direction we climbed. A bridge that extended further the more we walked across it. It’s designed to trap us.” Nathan swallowed, his face pale. “How do we escape something like that?” Tanaka looked grim as he wiped the sweat from his brow. “We don’t know. But we keep moving forward. The map still shows us the center, and we stick to the plan.”

Martha moved swiftly, keeping to the shadows as she weaved through the narrow paths. Her eyes darted around, searching for any signs of danger as she navigated through the arcade. She could hear the guards' footsteps getting closer, and her heart pounded even harder.

The entrance was shaped like a giant, distorted skull, breathing out thick fog. The moment we stepped inside, total darkness swallowed us. The maze was a sensory nightmare. The floors shifted unpredictably beneath our feet, and walls of tattered fabric brushed against my face.

"Did you ever find Narnia?" He lets out a laugh at that - a belly laugh, not one of the smug chuckles he's been sending my way all evening. "No Narnia," he says.
