Daisy Hunter

Daisy Hunter

"Are you serious…like right now?" Daisy asked as she stared at the clock. "Please." Wade's voice was laced with sadness. "Alright, 32 minutes it is." ************************************************ Moments later, Daisy Hunter is standing in front of the opulent door of Roberto's mansion. She stood admiring the garden and the whole mansion. As she stepped up again to ring the doorbell for the 5th time, the door opened immediately, revealing Mrs Angela, Wade's mom. "Are you the waitress from Splat Burger?" Mrs Angela asked as she stared askance at Daisy Hunter.

Dealing With The Other Brother.

Dealing With The Other Brother.

A tall, chubby girl—about six feet tall, red-haired, with cheeks like rising dough—barrels through the squabble, sending two maids crashing to the floor. “I will do it,” she says, not sparing a glance at the maids wincing on the ground at her dramatic entrance. Mira brightens. Martha chuckles. “This is MaryJane,” she says proudly. “She has worked in this mansion since she was a child. Hasn’t it…” She pauses thoughtfully. “Been twenty-five years?” “Yes, ma’am,” the bully replies stiffly. Martha gasps. “Wow, how time flies. I remember when she was a little girl, running around this kitchen, stealing biscuits.”

Forget About Me, Billionaire

Forget About Me, Billionaire

“Oh. Mister Everette had married. Congratulations, Miss Christina. Your husband is one of the best people I have ever met. He gave jobs to us and we are forever indebted to the Watson.” “Maria. You already paid. All of you did when you took care of the island.” “We will forever serve the Watson, Mister Vincent. For as long as we live.” “I'm sure you would do that. Now, would you please cook something for Miss Christina? She might not say it, but she’s already hungry.” “I'm not,” I said, lying. “But you can proceed with the cooking, Maria. You can cook whatever you have in mind.” Her face brightened. “Yes, Miss Christina. I will start right away.”

Milady

Milady

She was currently washing her hands on the sink. I felt nauseous. What I obviously meant by women stuffs—is menstruation; quite a torture for women. I was about to enter one of the stalls, when all of the sudden, the lady walked towards me, facing me with those brown eyes of hers. "Are you perhaps, Charlotte Hayes?" She asked, with a soft tone. I nodded my head in a gentle manner as a response, and said, "Oh, yes, I am." "You're quite the beauty.." she mumbled, looking at me from the bottom to the top; as if she's observing my appearance. It felt weird for some reason, yet I couldn't pinpoint why. "Maybe that's why," she continued, "You managed to catch his interest."

Plain Jane

Plain Jane

JANE I heard the words leave my mouth before I could stop them. "It's only fair to end this with a little bit of crass, is it not?" His eyebrows went up. Interest flickered across his face. I stood, tucking the bills into my purse with deliberate slowness. Five hundred dollars. That was textbooks and maybe even groceries that weren't ramen. My hands weren't shaking anymore. I was Jailbird now. Fully Jailbird. Jane Puckett was locked away somewhere safe.

Scarlett

What was holding them up? I saw Marvin take out his belt and begin to beat the cook's daughter. Her screams were painful. "I hope you can live with yourself, Scarlett. Annie is just fifteen." She said, and I did not care one bit. My life was important to me too. Marvin beat Annie until she had cuts on her skin. The cook cried bitterly, and there was nothing we could do. So they chained Annie up and tied her to me. By the time they finished raiding the Redcape settlement, about Twenty-five young women had been chained up as slaves.

This was a great book, rich in detail and with complex characters. It’s the second book I read from this author, the first being “Unwanted”, which had no ending. This book also has no ending. I’m really disappointed to have wasted so much money on books that appear to have been abandoned.

Bride in Disguise

Bride in Disguise

But how many women dare to really use their own lives to threaten their opponents? Because of that turn, Jane stayed in the hospital for several days before recovering. There was a scar on her forehead, but fortunately, it wasn't very noticeable. The pain and suffering Anthony brought to Jane were far more than just the night of The Watkins' overthrow two years ago, or Jovan turning from a talented person to a half-dead vegetable. There was also the malice that came from all directions in life, unpredictable and unstoppable!
