“Leave. Before I make you leave in pieces.”
His chest heaved, blood soaking into his sleeve, but his eyes still gleamed sharp, unbroken.
“You’re dangerous,” he whispered. “More dangerous than Vega deserves.”
“Then you should be afraid.”
“I’m not.” He smiled — cracked, bloody, but still smug. “I’m interested.”
I pressed the blade harder. “Wrong answer.”
For the first time, his mask slipped. A flicker of something — unease, maybe. He shoved hard, breaking free, and stumbled back toward the door.
