~~Niccolo Amoretti~~ Sleeping just isn't something I can do. Expecting me to rest well, knowing the object of my desire is just one floor below me, is ludicrous. I tried. I did the normal thing. I lay in my bed, closed my eyes, and tried to lure myself into the land of sleep. I even tried counting sheep, then I realized there was no need for this level of pretence. I want something, so why can't I go and get it? Why do I have to wait?

I shuddered. “Can’t sleep,” I answered. “Don’t worry about it.” He fell silent, and I did my best to fall asleep. I even tried counting sheep, but it was no use. Matt didn’t seem to be faring any better. “Come on,” he said at one point. “Let’s go talk.”

But not even ten seconds passed before they opened once more, revealing a pair of deep brown irises. He stared at the cobwebs clinging to the ceiling. His gaze drifted to his roommates, still sleeping soundly. Clicking his tongue, he grumbled, “Hah… they sleep like the dead, while I can’t sleep because of the dead. Damn nightmare!” With a weary face, the young man rose from bed. He stepped out of the room, yawning loudly. How was it possible that despite being exhausted, he couldn’t fall asleep? *** Though the place was now overrun by grass and weeds, the land still felt dead.

Richard Sleep is the last thing on my mind after that dreadful nightmare. My heart is still racing, and my mind is filled with vivid images from the dream. I can't shake off the feeling of unease, making it impossible to find any peace or relaxation in sleep. But with Regina by my side, I feel a sense of comfort and security. Her presence helps to calm my racing heart and soothe my troubled mind. Despite the lingering unease, having her beside me brings a glimmer of hope that sleep will eventually come and provide some much-needed rest.

I shake my head as a response to that. "I-I am not scared of those. It's just that I am a light sleeper and even the smallest noises wakes me up from my sleep and I find it hard to fall asleep again if it happens." Marte is taking some notes on her ipod as I explained myself to her. My eyebrows shot up out of curiousity. I tried to peak on the screen but I couldn't see anything.

“Why can’t you sleep in your own room anyway?” “I’ve been having insomnia.” I’m not sure what kind of explanation that was. “If I try to sleep near you, I’ll feel at peace from the mate bond and it should be enough to put me to sleep.” I couldn’t act like I didn’t get it. I have times when I have trouble sleeping because of my racing thoughts.
