The title felt heavy on her shoulders. The head servant stepped forward. He was a tall man with broad shoulders. His dark hair was neat and his jaw was strong. Sharp blue eyes met hers for a moment. “Welcome home, Your Grace,” he said in a deep steady voice. “I am Michael Hughes, the butler. It is my honor to serve you.” Madeleine felt a small flutter in her chest. She had not expected the butler to look like this. His uniform fit him well. The black jacket showed his fit frame. Sitting on a black leather swivel chair, legs crossed and hands rested on the fluffy armrest, Marco adjusted his blue tuxedo, slicking back his now white hair with gel, giving him a smooth and suave appearance. His skin is pale, almost translucent, giving him a somewhat austere and imposing presence. Dressed in a perfectly tailored black suit, the butler's appearance is immaculate. His white shirt is crisp and spotless, and his black tie is knotted with precision. White gloves cover his hands, adding an extra layer of formality and distance to his demeanor. A small, discreet silver pin adorns his lapel, perhaps a family crest or symbol of the household.
