CHAPTER ONE 15th May 2021 MILA'S POV I stood in front of the chapel in which MacCarter was about to be wed. It had been 5 long and hard years, but I was back to recover all that I lost or rather, what was stolen from me. I was no longer that weak 18 year old girl, fresh out of high school, without a Mom or a healthy father. I turned out to be strong and bold. I had to be because life had given me a lot more reasons to be.

Given her homely appearance, she seemed to have no issues with blending in the crowd. Maya knew Dana wasn't the real daughter of the Lane family at first glance. She was too ordinary, and she certainly didn't look like a Lane. In fact, Mia looked more convincing as the daughter of the Lane family. Nonetheless, Maya desperately wished that Dana belonged to the Lane family. Decisively, Maya spun around and looked at Hailee. "Thanks for helping me to find my childhood friend. I need to talk to her in private now. I'll treat you to a meal next time."

She was given a mate. Then someone shouted. "Look!" Across the platform, another wrist was glowing. Maya looked up and everything stopped. Lucas Blackwood stood frozen. The exact same mark shone on his wrist. Silence filled the arena. Maya's heart pounded. Lucas. Lucas was her mate…her mate. It was no longer a daydream. Gasps spread through the crowd. Students immediately pulled out their phones and began recording. The future Alpha King's mate had been revealed. And somehow…somehow, it was Maya Hart.

Had Mia signed the papers so quickly? "Tim?" Timothy returned to his senses and asked Maya lowly, "Are you okay?" "My hand hurts, Tim. Is it broken? Can I continue playing the piano in the future?" Maya wept. Timothy placed her on the bed. "I'm sure you're fine. I'll have a doctor check on you." Then, he turned to look at Mia. "Apologize to Maya." Maya was the heiress to the Lane family and had three older brothers who absolutely doted on her. If the Lane family were to find out about Mia laying a hand on her, they wouldn't let Mia off the hook.

Mrs Angela asked as she stared askance at Daisy Hunter. Glaring back at Mrs Angela, Daisy's countenance changes from happiness to a mixture of concern and bewilderment. "No, I'm Wade's fiancée," Daisy said, her voice laced with trepidation. "You…my son's fiancée?…aren't you his Secretary at the office?" "Yes, I am ma." Daisy Hunter replied, her gaze intent on Mrs Angela. Staring askance at Daisy, Mrs Angela's gaze was laced with venom. "This can't be." Mrs Angela said as she flung the door shut at Daisy's face.

Maeve "And they really didn't talk about Tasia at all?" Myla moved about the room, glancing at her reflection in the mirror as she examined her hair. It had been styled in long, thin braids that touched her waist and had been woven with strips of turquoise silk. They had been fashioned in an intricate updo, and the bun of braids on the top of her head had been decorated with tiny jewels shaped like seashells. She looked absolutely exquisite, and I was very much looking forward to whatever dress she was wearing tonight.

- I reached a final decision after pondering on it for a while. "Okay. I'll send you the details, I'm leaving now" - she turned to the meek girl with the huge framed glasses. "She's in your hands now" - she smiled before heading out the door. Without Rachel around, my attention turned to the young lady, "I believe introductions are in order. My name is Selene Woods and you?" - I initated a formal introduction between us both. "Bennett Gale, I'm an intern at the agency and I'm also a big fan of your movies, ma'am" - she spoke excitedly with a big grin on her face.

The girl looked as if she’d seen a ghost and was about to faint. In the next second, her loud scream tore through the air. “No way! It’s her! Maya Stanton! OMG!” Maya shut her eyes, her lips pouted as if she wanted to cry. She was probably regretting coming here today. “I am your number one fan, Maya!” The girl’s eyes danced with excitement. “You can’t believe it, but I just watched the drama ‘The Billionaire’s Miserable Maid’ last night! Your acting skills are top-notch! What a coincidence, you look exactly as you did in the movie’s first scene. I’ve got to be dreaming!”

Everyone was looking forward to seeing her become Luna. Then again, Miley despised being a gamma class. She always kind of wants to hang out with me and Rayah. The fact that Rayah doesn’t mind was a big reason I loved her so much. She was always kind to members of our pack. And you don't want to see her bad side. She could be an absolute beast when one of our own is attacked. Even if it is verbally. Miley is actually back from college because once again, she couldn't keep a job and she ran out of money to feed herself or keep her apartment. I know everything about her gambling and excessive spending. The real reason she came back was to get some money from me as usual.

Sibel’s POV I couldn't believe my ears. How could Eileen, a ruthless bully, win this year's Werewolf Gold Award? The thought gnawed at me, echoing in my mind. Paul's announcement had left me stunned. Eileen, who found joy in bullying Omegas, had secured the prestigious award. It was unthinkable. How could someone who exploited and harmed others be recognized for excellence? Eileen's actions—her relentless torment of Jolie, her disdain for the weak, and her lack of empathy—made her entirely undeserving.
