The Butcher's Bride
A second later, a sniper fell over the railing, his rifle clattering to the floor.
"How are you doing that?" Vexa gasped, reloading.
"I can see them," I breathed, the magic humming in my blood. "I can see the paths."
"Keep seeing them!" Kaelen roared. "Move!"
We broke cover.
We sprinted through the maze of slot machines. I was the navigator.
"Duck!" I shouted.
Kaelen ducked. A shotgun blast took the head off a statue right where his head had been.
