Confused, I took it, glancing between her newly showered, half-dressed body and the papers on the table. “Why?” I asked, frowning, but accepted the beer. She nodded over to the sofa, and wordlessly, I followed her lead. “My brother is a MC,” she explained, sitting down and facing me. “Got involved with some illegal shit and I’m trying to see if I can get him out in one piece.”
