Savage Castle Chapter 1 Novels & Stories

Pathetic. He stepped back, giving his back to her as he stepped further into the room. She watched with chopped breaths as he folded his sleeves up revealing that daunting ink on his skin. Shaking his head he faced her and undid the first three buttons of his shirt. The chain dangling on his chest sparkled as she forced herself to keep her eyes on his face. "What do you want from me?" She asked with mustered-up courage. He tipped his head, scrutinizing her, sizing her up and down.

"What makes you think you can defeat all of us? You are still new to the vampire world and you have yet to discover your true potential." Before any of us us could respond, there was a huge explosions in the distance. We all turned and faced a big cloud of fire and smoke which lead to the castle. "No." I all but whispered. I turned and I sprinted to the Rogue and snapped its' neck. "We need to go. Now." With that we raced towards the castle while unwanted thoughts scrambled through my brain in what had occurred but one person did come to mind and it was Gabriel.

*** PROLOGUE: Somewhere in the southern part of California, thirty-one years ago… * “It’s a boy.” The elderly woman smiled. “Just as was predicted.” The baby let out an angry cry and kicked its tiny legs with such force the old woman almost dropped it. “So strong.” She giggled, tightening her hold on the baby. But her delighted giggles turned into a gasp of horror when the baby’s eyes suddenly turned bloody red. “Oh, Great Luna!” Mama Meg turned as white as sheet.

“I’ll get a ride from someone else. Or I can just call a taxi. That would have been the smart thing to do anyway. I can be so silly sometimes. If I just took a minute to think things through instead of being so impulsive, I’d figure a lot out much quicker. The only time I really focus like that is when I’m writing, but it’s so much easier to just get lost in those fantasies. Or baking! Baking is even better. And, shit, I’m rambling. I’ll just go now.” I forced a chuckle at the end of that. When he didn’t respond, eyes boring into me, I stepped off the porch and tossed a hasty goodnight over my shoulder. A block away from his house I stumbled and barely caught myself. I realized that the pain

And the castle plunged into chaos. I lifted my chin, staring at my sisters through the dark. “Move,” I said, voice low and lethal. Mara smirked. “Make me.” My wolf surged. The Demon King entered our world. And everything began to break.

Practically howling in my ears. The crowd parted around me as a very naked man–The Savage himself–got up from the street and stalked straight toward me. My body immediately heated up, and my heart went haywire. As he paused inches from me with a deep scowl set on his bloody face, it was then that I understood what my wolf was trying to tell me. The Savage was my chosen mate. Oh. My… A wild excitement pulsed through me, and I managed a slight, shaky smile. I had dreamed about what my mate would look like. Never in my wildest dreams had I—

“To break the curse, to be free. I chose you over salvation. Because the second I scented you, Cassia… I knew I’d never walk away.” Her knees buckled, but she didn’t fall. Not yet. “I didn’t want a mate,” she whispered. “I wanted my life.” “I didn’t want to love anyone again,” he murmured. “But I do.” Before she could respond, a sudden gust of wind howled through the clearing. The runes beneath them blazed with light, too bright to be natural. Killian’s head snapped up. “No. Not now.” The light surged, blinding. Cassia cried out, shielding her eyes.

“ Julian, I'm lost right now. Nonetheless, I'll have to tell you why I'm here. My husband, the alpha king of the Black Soul pack, is seriously ill and, as it stands now, he is half dead. The pack's medical doctor couldn't find out the cause of his sickness. A seer was also consulted, yet he was unable to find out what was wrong with the Alpha king. However, the little girl who cast a spell on me was also invited. “After examining the alpha king, she tried to accuse a certain maid, which I was certain was a lie. Seeing that none of them could help, I decided to run to you. Assuring myself that you are going to help, no matter how tough the sickness is. “As I'm speaking to you now, the Alpha k

Chapter 20: The Price of Sacrifice The night had fallen into an eerie stillness, the sounds of combat outside the castle walls now replaced by an unsettling quiet that hung in the air like a thick fog. Inside the grand corridors, Karina’s heart pounded in her chest, her breath shallow as she crouched behind a stone pillar, peering around it. Her grip tightened on the hilt of her dagger, her eyes scanning for any sign of movement.

In the once tranquil realm of our castle, my world fell apart the moment I stepped foot on its grounds. I just escaped from Lycan Steven, and this is the first thing I have seen. The majestic castle, a symbol of our family's legacy, was engulfed in ferocious flames, its once regal spires now wreathed in fire and smoke. The scene was chaotic, with villagers gathered around, their expressions a mix of pity and malice. Confusion and despair gripped me. "W-What's happening?!" My voice tore through the air, a desperate plea for understanding. Only hours before, I had narrowly escaped of my mate, and now I was confronted with this inferno – my home burning in fire.
