Ramon’s voice broke through the haze. She turned to find him standing in the doorway, his dark eyes filled with concern. Even as a vampire lord, Ramon’s presence always exuded calm authority, but tonight, there was something raw in his gaze. “The moon,” she whispered, her voice trembling. “It’s... different.” Ramon stepped closer, his hands brushing her shoulders gently. “It’s the Bloodmoon,” he said. “A rare celestial event tied to ancient magic.
