MIA'S POV “I need the ring back” I heard Matt say as we both sat inside our favorite coffee shop enjoying coffee and delicious jam stuffed doughnuts. We had decided to meet up for lunch finally after being apart for about two whole weeks. ‘Work was tedious’, Matt had said with other weird excuses as to why he couldn’t meet up with me. This was weird and downright suspicious as we were the kind of couple who couldn’t stay apart from each other for just a day and now he suddenly became fine with not seeing me for almost two weeks! . It took a lot of bugging for him to agree to a mini date today.

he sighed heavily, the weight of his words evident in his voice. "I met her during a business meeting outside of New York. It was an unconventional introduction, as she accidentally spilled food on my shirt." Alex chuckled, but the laughter held a hint of anguish and sorrow. "And then, fate brought us together again in New York. Her name was Sarah Micheline, and we kept crossing paths unexpectedly."

Gracious heavens, the thought alone made my chest expand with excitement. “Hi!” A girl waved at me the second I stepped in the lecture room. Her smile was wide and friendly, ginger hair nearly covering her brown eyes. “You don’t hate front seats, do you? You should sit here. Everywhere else is taken.” “Right.” I returned the smile and sat right next to her. “Thanks. I’m Megan.” “Stacey.” Her dimples were really pretty. “I can tell we’ll be good friends.” I instantly laughed.

“Your Mom said ‘no, it’s fine’ and they met in the eye. She tilted her head a bit as if pondering about something while her eyes are locked in on his. They stared at each other for a few moments, but at that time, it doesn’t seem like the romantic or cheesy one, and certainly not a mad stare down. It’s just them looking at each other as curious strangers.” Definitely not romantic. At that time, them staring at each other actually felt more like two extraterrestrials meeting each other on another planet, or on a localized interpretation, that feeling when you met someone from your place somewhere the both of you should not be in. Later on, I had realized that them looking at each other's eyes

She thought Beatrice had paid the model to come, per her wish. She walked to meet Mia. "Hi, my name is Trisha. You see, I am a big fan of yours. I love you so much, I love everything you do, I love your fashion sense, I love your smile, I love your personality, I love..." She was just talking nonstop. Beatrice had so shut her up. "Baby, that's enough". "I am just excited to meet her in person" Trisha replied, happily. Mia smiled at the little girl. "Nice to meet you, Trisha". She then stared at Beatrice with a questioning look.

He looked a year or two younger than me with his clean-shaven skin and tousled 'boy-band' hair. "I'm sorry, do I know you?" I asked, slightly confused and uncomfortable at the sudden appearance of this mystery man. "No." He grinned. "But you're about to. The name's Hunt. Dylan Hunt." A thought crossed my mind for a fleeting second and I frowned, disappointed in myself for getting distracted. "Nice to meet you, Dylan. I'm sorry I have to cut this short-" no I'm not "-but I have to look for someone." I turned on my heel to walk away only to be grabbed by the arm.

Maybe I should thank Cleofe for that beautiful interruption. Cleofe was looking at our clasped hands. She was smiling, and I saw her bump Ale with her questioning look. She is a curious type of kid her age. "Ehem! Lovebirds?" she said as we walked to the table. I even saw Ale blush. She squeezed my hand, asking for help, and I squeezed back. It was a charming gesture. She looked like a teenage girl caught by her friends. And then a memory many years ago flashed like a movie scene in my mind.
