“And now you’re free to explore other options… like EJ.” She definitely wanted more exploring time with Elijah. Starlight pulled silverware from the drawers to set the table. “What about you? I decide to head upstairs to first get into something comfortable when I hear giggles from my bedroom. “I do not love him, I love only you baby,” I overhear Meghan on the phone with someone. “Yes, I am only with him for the money and you know that. If I leave him I can’t be able to finance both of our lifestyles my love…he will one day die you know and we will both inherit all of his money…this is worth waiting for my love,” she says and at this point I do not want to hear anything more this woman has to say so I barge into the room.

Megan stood beside Aurora, watching Yvonne with a sharp, protective gaze, as if the woman might pose a threat. Yvonne noticed her and raised a brow slightly. "You must be Miss Quinn, correct?" "You remember me?" Megan sounded surprised. After all, during the family banquet at Lucas’ home, she was barely considered a distant relative and had no place to speak with the main family.

I searched Meghan's face for any sign of explanation, but she remained guarded, her emotions hidden beneath a veil of unease. "What's wrong, Meghan?" I asked, my voice filled with genuine worry. "Did something happen? Did I do something to upset you?, the kids are having fun" Meghan's shoulders tensed, and a wave of aggression washed over her features, and without warning, she pushed me backward with unexpected force. I stumbled backward, my heart pounding in my chest, as the door slammed shut in my face. The sound reverberated through the room, leaving a deafening silence in its wake.
