The true form of the entity slowly emerged from the confines of the Demon's Box—a colossal being shrouded in a sinister blood-red hue. The creature had a humanoid form, yet it bore eight eyes upon its face. These eyes lacked pupils, each adorned with unique, intricate trigram patterns. At the center of this arrangement, where a ninth eye might be expected, lay a gaping maw—a monstrous oval filled with rows of razor-sharp teeth, making for a terrifying display. Its body was marred by tattered flesh wounds, from which oozed repulsive pus and blood, transforming into countless maggots that writhed across the ground.

In mid air I changed into my third form, my tail split into two and my wings grew in length and became sharp enough to cut through objects. My incisors elongated and my eyes turned all black. I knew I looked even more like monster than before, but for this battle I did not care. It was rare that I used my third form, but this was such an occasion which required it. There, within the new army of demons, though much smaller than the one by the castle, stood my uncle. He rode on the back of a flaire. It was not the royal one which was passed down from Demon King to Demon King, Mayla. He must have used it to trick others into believing him when he said he was the rightful Demon King.

His skin changes to the color red as scales appear all over his body, giving him more armor against physical attacks. A tail burst through the back of his jeans, swirling upwards, going further up than Levi’s head. A menacing growl erupts from Levi’s chest, giving the vampires pause as they stare the Devil in his face. His fingers elongate, his nails growing into sharp claws resembling razors. The image is terrifying, and exhilarating all at the same time. My eyes stay glued to Levi’s Demon form, watching his every move. Someone touches my arm gently from beside me, pulling me from my admiration for my Demon King. Turning my eyes away from his magnificent form, I find Nehmetawy at my side. S

Blonde hair, blue eyes, a handsome face, so smooth without blisters, and he was even a student. He was no one, sixty years before he was born, in a body that wasn't his. And the Demon king, the one he killed, was still alive, walking around somewhere in this timeline, young, healthy and free. And he had not yet became the monster he killed. His mind was still spiraling, then a knock jolted him out. “Lysan, the combat exams start in about ten minutes, are you ready yet?” Another male voice came through from behind the door.

He stiffened, his eyes going wide. She laughed again, the sound echoing through the castle halls. "I curse you into what you hate the most." No...NO! His body stiffened as rage and instincts rushed to the surface. The demon within roared, clawing at the cage Sebastian had spent centuries to build. He began to turn. His claws elongated, black and razor sharp, as his fangs shot long in his mouth. His body grew in size, his muscles expanding. His skin pricked as if stabbed with tiny blades, changing to a dark shade of blue. Power surged through him, hot and intense.

The sentries worked in perfect coordination, pack bonds allowing them to anticipate each other's movements. For a moment, I thought we might actually win. Then the demon lord arrived. It didn't come through the walls like the others. It simply appeared in the center of the room, reality bending around it like heat waves. It was massive, easily eight feet tall, with skin that looked like molten obsidian and eyes like burning coals. When it spoke, its voice was the sound of cities burning. It raised one clawed hand and made a gesture that looked almost like a military signal.

They all carried my features, although grotesquely distorted, and bared long fangs at me. As they drew closer, their faces began to contort and shift, morphing into three distinct forms. The first transformed into a towering beast with three heads, each snapping and foaming at the mouth with acid. The second had bubbling skin with eight breasts dangling under it as it's three eyes rolled to the back of it's head. The last, shaped like a lion, had long fangs that stretched out of its mouth and stained with blood. A sick shiver ran down my spine as I got up from the floor. “You have to be fucking me," I muttered under my breath as I stretched my arms.

Crimson. It flashed a third time—a quick burst of light, then darkness—and milkshake was gone, replaced by the shadow in the shape of a man. Another flash and that too was replaced by the demon—striped hair, strange tattoos, sharp canines, and the bandage around his midsection. They were all him. His forms. His faces. The light flickered as he began walking towards me. His form rippled and changed with each step, like he couldn’t decide which skin suit to wear.

“Thank you all for your loyalty. There is a war coming, one that we must win. Demacores are a brutal species but have their own weaknesses. And he's not in his normal form. My breath catches in my throat at the sight of him. This must be his demon form, I realize. His skin glows faintly, and from his back are a pair of large wings. They are not angelic or bat-like. They are feathered obsidian wings streaked with glowing gold veins. They curl around him protectively. His claws are out, and his eyes swirl with black and gold. I inhale sharply, and he hears it. Kaziel lifts his head slowly... and freezes. My goodness, he's stunning. Like a dark angel.
