"For years I've been by your side. I was forced to love you, even in the most difficult times, but... Had I known you were capable of something so cruel, I would never have married you."
"You lie!" cries Dora, full of pain and impotence.
"How did she remember all this?" I ask August, astonished.
"Over the years Dora has become forgetful. The medicine she used to give me to keep my memories sealed is very delicate to prepare and must be administered with precision. She has been forgetting how to do it and so, my memories have gradually returned."
August sighs and Dora looks at him, filled with helplessness.
"You can't leave me now," he affirms.
