After a little while I had fully calmed down as he pulls his forehead from mine. "Now you've calmed down we can talk, yes you are correct about me being a werewolf but there's one thing you don't know" he tells me his hands moving down my arms to hold my hands "you're my mate" he simply tells me where my mouth just hangs open, what in the heck is he talking about?!

Gasps were audible and everyone, including the Alpha, felt shocked. “Mate” Clarissa growled, coming forward, and for the first time since the incident, we were one. He’s my mate, my fucking mate. On instinct, I rushed into the ring. Making sure he’s okay is all I can think about. Reaching him, I cupped his face “You’re my mate” He states, barely conscious “I am” “Clarissa I” He starts to say but passes out before he could finish. Four of the fighters lifts him up, and I just stood there and watched as they take him to the emergency room.

“He was my father’s friend. Before all this. He used to visit our pack when I was a kid. Brought gifts. Books about wolves, about science. He made me believe we could be more than what we were.” Dante turned toward him. “You trusted him.” Aiden nodded. “Until he tried to turn me into a weapon.” The silence that followed was heavier than the snow. Dante reached out and rested a hand on Aiden’s arm—steady, grounding. “He didn’t win then. He won’t win now.” Aiden exhaled slowly. “You really believe that?” “I have to,” Dante said. “Because if I stop believing, I stop fighting. And if I stop fighting, he wins twice.”

I yelled and he froze, his posture rigid. "W-what? W-what are you talking about?" He stuttered. I approached him cautiously, not taking my eyes off him. He was starting to tremble, rivulets of sweats rolling down his temples. "Shade is my mate. You are the enemy. I must kill you," he muttered. Right when I got close enough, he lurched forward in a bid to attack me. But, since he was bound, he failed. "Stay away from me! Stay away from me! Don't come any closer!"

Camille said with a scoff. “Will you help me with this?” I asked him eagerly. “What is that saying again? An enemy of my enemy is my friend.” he said with a smirk. “You look desperate so I'll help you,” he added. His words were rude but I had to tolerate it, soon I would not need his help any longer. “What do you think? How do we kill them and when?” he inquired.

“You are home.” “Shut up!” If he says that one more time, I might go into a rage and beat him to a pulp. “This. is. not. my. home.” I emphasise with a growl. “I don’t know you, I don’t know any of you. Do you know what you have done? Who you have made an enemy of? You will all be dead when my mate finds out what you have done.” “What mate?” The second male asks suddenly, stepping forward with his brows lowered into a frown. The tone of his voice sends chills down my spine and when I meet his eyes, I have a sudden vision, a memory, or something like it that floats to the fore of my brain.

Just when I thought of something to say, Damian’s posture tensed as he looked at her and said; “Mate!” I wasn’t sure I heard him correctly but before I could ask again, he took mighty long strides and left. I stood there, not knowing exactly what to do. I am his mate?! How is that even possible? We hate each other!

he said, walking to the heart monitor before yanking the cords from it as Indie’s heart quickens. “I-I thought this would’ve satisfied you,” she said as Mateo turned to her with raised eyebrows, “I think you meant yourself, sister, after all, you do love the little runt,” he said, causing Indie’s eyes to widen, her face turning pale, “You’re mistaken, I don’t love him, he’s the enemy,” she tried to defend herself, but her words just went through Mateo’s ear and came out the other, “You’re right, he is the enemy, they’re the enemy, but that didn’t stop our little sister, didn’t it, and now she’s dead,” he said as tears filled Indie’s eyes.

"Anytime, boss. Anytime." "Quill is no match for me," I murmured to myself. “I don’t consider him a threat. He only enrages me. How can my mate be engaged to another man? Ava is supposed to be mine! I can’t stand to see her with another. I just can't! I want to be the only one who has her attention and affection.” I growl deep in my throat. “No, I’m a warrior; I can’t allow my emotions to control me all the time.”

Besides, there is no escaping from the mate-bond once you face your special someone. I wet my lips while my mate absorbs me from his imposing height. He is tall, and I'm suddenly speechless. He is handsome. His warm skin tone stands out against the pale color of most people this time of the year, me included. I'm embarrassingly porcelain, while my mate is a rich bronze with eyes so deep I could drown in them. He isn't entirely flawless, though. His nose is slightly crooked, and his face lacks any sign of human emotions, but in my opinion, it gives him character.
