"What?" Michael gasped, vocalising my shock. I had not heard Lorenzo well. I definitely had not heard him well. He definitely said 'don't do it', not 'then do it'. Yes, that was what he said. "It seems you didn't hear what I said. I said I—"

No one was listening. And I have no idea what to do.

I heard him. I heard him loud and clear, but at the same time, it felt like I didn’t. What the hell did he just say? "You what…?" I breathed out, unable to believe my ears. What he had just said was nothing short of insane. "You want to…" No. I can’t… I can’t say it.

I try to say it all codedly, knowing fully well that she’ll understand it all. She didn't say anything, I didn’t even want her to say anything. Just listen to me and think about it later.

"Hey, wait a minute, I haven't recorded this yet!" "I didn't record it, so it doesn't count!"

I stilled unable to believe my ear. "What?!"

Why can’t I remember their names? “Can’t you people hear me?” There were two of them, and they just stood there with their backs against the wall, not paying me any attention. One of them looked in my direction but said nothing before turning back to his friend. I guess that was to let me know that they could hear but just weren’t interested in talking.
