I’m about to use Emerald’s eyes again when a vision overwhelms me. ** I see Alpha Everly’s eyes glow menacingly. They are now a glowing iridescent white, incredibly spooky. Light swirls around her as she brings vines up from the ground. There are creatures with red eyes surrounding her, pressed to kill. The creatures are pitch black, twisted and evil. While they fear her light, they are charged with one motivation: snuff out the light. She can’t do this alone. She needs help. I see a pair of hazel eyes before me. They close with finality. I see the same vision, but with a pair of bright blue eyes. There is a feeling of sorrow that washes over me.

Kai set her down upon the sand just as the glowing sun blossomed in the cloudless sky behind them. “That was definitely cool,” she said, rewarding him with a quick peck on the cheek. “And very comfortable, too.” She looked out over the ocean. Twenty-five yards or so off shore, she spied Selene, Colella and Tamika bobbing in the water, waving to them. The mermaids’ long, jet black hair floated on the surface around their heads, making it look from a distance as if they were floating in small oil slicks. Leah waved back. “They can’t swim much closer to us,” she said, smiling. “So I guess we’re gonna have to get wet.”

haha We have come close to the three mermaids. The bald one has a wound in the chest and the other is holding a spear made of rusted iron with a tentacle-like head. The water was mixed with blood and suddenly I was nervous because aren't sharks sensitive to blood? What if the MEG is here? That might just turn us into a toothpick.
