The air smelled faintly of aged paper and ink, a scent that had become all too familiar. Across from him sat the man in black, his expression as indifferent as usual, a faint, almost imperceptible smile lingering at the corners of his lips. “So, this is your choice,” the Messenger spoke, his voice deep and laden with meaning. Dean furrowed his brow. “What?”

"You imbecile, do you think I killed Aiden and Kino?" Stefan blinked. "Did… Did you not, sir?" The Dark Messenger huffed impatiently. "No. Wilbur Penn did this. He killed Buker, and then Aiden and Kino after that. I just got here. He was lucky enough to escape." "Honorable Dark Messenger, do you plan to take care of this yourself?" Please take me as your prisoner instead… I swear to serve you forever!” There was a tense silence before the general let out a huff of amusement. “Look up here,” he ordered. The messenger slowly raised his head, hope flickering in his eyes. But it was quickly extinguished as the sound of a blade slicing through flesh filled the air.

Evan smiled, and before anyone could anticipate it, he used the scalpel to stab himself in the heart. Standing beside Evan, I screamed and cried. Countless people walked through me to try and save Evan. Alas, he was indeed an exceptional medical examiner. He knew the fastest way to die. Evan's body continued to twitch slightly. In his final moment, I saw him pointing toward me with his finger. He seemed to have spotted me. Smiling, he closed his eyes, putting an end to the last of his lingering attachment to this world. The situation descended into chaos as another medical examiner shook his head, signifying to Henry that Evan was dead.

As he opened his door he noticed Mary was waiting for him. "Is everything alright?" Now that Death was fully standing, the height difference made Mary's anxiety with speaking to him worse. "I-I have an, an, um, urgent message from Heaven, s-sir." Death noticing the anxiousness quickly went to his desk to sit down. 'She's so good at handling herself with everything else except when it comes to me.' Death thought, tapping his fingers on the desk. "What's the message?" Mary, now taking a breath before speaking, relayed the message.

He replied and immediately Lucian's mind just went back to the strange man/ demon who came with the message. ‘Death is coming for everyone.'
