Black and getting to the bottom of what had happened to Sophia. Finally, he reached the large office at the end of the hall, the door slightly ajar. Inside, Mr. Black was standing near his desk, his back to the door, staring at the array of security screens that lined the walls. Mike cleared his throat, his presence filling the room before he even stepped inside. “Mike,” Mr. Black said, his voice low, acknowledging him without turning around. Mike stood in the doorway, arms crossed over his chest, his expression unreadable. “You can take off that mask of yours, Xender,” he said, his tone dripping with irritation. “I still don’t understand why you bother wearing it.”

“And what line would that be, exactly? You've represented people who’ve done unspeakable things. Why the sudden change of heart?” Blackwood sighed, running a hand through his thinning hair. “Because I’ve seen firsthand what they’re willing to do to stay in power. The attack on your colleague, Michael—that was only the beginning. They won’t stop until you’re all silenced. And I can’t let them get away with it anymore. I want to help you bring them down, once and for all.”

After finishing breakfast, Michael and the other person at the table got up to leave. Michael shot me a warning glance as he stood, but I ignored him, discreetly flipping him off under the table. He could be such a control freak sometimes! When I first sat down at the table, my attention was drawn to the man sitting next to Sasha before I even noticed her. He was dressed entirely in black—from his hat to his shirt, pants, and shoes. He even wore a black headset and mask, making him stand out in the brightly lit dining room. The plate in front of him was empty, and he didn’t seem to be there for the food. Instead, he looked more like some kind of enigmatic performance artist.

With a low groan, he slumped back into his seat. Micheal was handsome with features similar to Easton but in a more manly manner. He was five years older, after all. He also had green eyes and stood at six feet two. He oozed a powerful aura as he turned to face the crowd. His lips curled into a smile, but the smile was nothing friendly. He actually made people even more uncomfortable. “My name is Michael Black," he began, his voice steady and commanding. "And I’m here to set the record straight. Scarlet is no fraud. Everything you’ve heard tonight or any other time is nothing but baseless lies designed to tear her down."

“I did my best.” “Your best?” Michael scoffed, his tone dripping with disdain. “If this is your best, then I’d hate to see your worst.” He stood up, his chair scraping loudly against the floor as he turned away. “I’m going out. I can’t stay here and eat this garbage.”

Poor people believed him and now they made sure to keep me satisfied all the time. Not that I'm complaining. "Nothing's broken. Don't need to be nervous." My calm voice sounded in the room. "Yes, yes," Embarrassed, the staff member tried to laugh and put the cup of coffee on the table for me. I felt calm when I smelt the rich aroma coming from my black coffee. Michael was scrolling through his phone before he gave a pleasant smile. "We should open the television. Mr Atkinson is doing a press conference." "That quick?" Taking a sip, I asked. I was surprised.

Michael continued once the older man had finished his drink and set his glass aside. Mr. Blackadder nodded his head. "Thank you, yes." He replied before taking in another deep breath, letting the air out slowly. Silence once again hung between them. "Would you like some food?" Matthew asked, gesturing to the table that held a variety of dishes including sandwiches and fruits. Mr. Blackadder smiled, "Oh no thank you, sir, I eat too often these days." He commented with a grin plastered onto his features. Michael shrugged his shoulders slightly.

Wait for him to come back? He was just a one-night stand. But Sophia really did enjoy last night, so... Sophia picked up her bag from the ground, but only found a few cents inside, which made her face flush with embarrassed. But a few cents were better than nothing, so she threw the few coins she had onto the bed and got dressed before leaving. Sophia relaxed her body as she left the hotel not wanting to seem tense. The man from last night was handsome, tall, and skilled. Most importantly, he used protection. Sophia didn't want to think too much about their one-night stand.

She led me to the car while I was hollow and unmoored. I hadn't managed a word before Andrew laid into me. "What stunt are you pulling? Did you come to my office in a hospital gown just to embarrass me? Reporters snapped photos and ran it as an entertainment piece!" He swept me from head to toe with a look of disgust and snapped, "You know I can't recognize you because of my prosopagnosia, and you still turned up looking like this?" I could only stare at him. The things I meant to say caught in my throat.

' like seriously? 'No, you are not going to force anyone' Jack is just about to pull me when mr. Black's deep upset voice echoes in the hall. Phew! For once, I think I am thankful for Mr. Black's intrusion. At least, this can serve as a compensation for him being a total dick to me earlier this morning. 'In my office mr. Moore' Mr. Black says bossily and then turns back, probably going to his office with an annoyed expression. 'We are not done yet kitten.' Jack says with a victorious grin.
